Conference Shave

Prep: Alt Innsbruck Emulsion
Brush: Savile Row 3824 Silvertip Badger
Cream: Weleda
Razor: Wolfman WR1
Blade: NOS Gillette 'Spoiler' (3)
Post: Alt Innsbruck Emulsion
Scent: Floris No 89 EdT

At a conference this week, so out with the travel kit.
The Weleda cream takes a wee bit of elbow grease to lather up, but is very skin-friendly; an important consideration when out of your normal shaving environment.
Three passes for a DFS.

The training week is officially over toot.giftoot.gif

I completed a WTG pass with the Feather non folder, well why not, no issues to report and i am surprised at the finish it gives from a single pass.
I was looking forward to shaving with the AS-D2 reminded earlier in the week just how comfortable & efficient it is, 2 passes XTG & ATG leaving me glass smooth & no buffing required.

A very nice post shave with nothing from the block, the Barts Balm really feeding the skin leaving me soft and supple, Finishing off with the Copycat Bleu, all very nice.
A new set up for next week, however, i have really enjoyed this week and i will try to keep popping the SS in for at least a single pass here and there.
Enjoy the rest of the day and have a great weekend All.Rock.gif

Recently, during my shaves I've been listening to the radio series of The Hitchhiker's guide to the Galaxy. I'm now on the forth series 'Quandary Phase', based on the forth book 'So long and thanks for all the fish'.

So today's shave is quite the coincidence.

Fri 13th Sept.

RazoRock Syn. 24mm
L`Occitane Cade soap
ER !924 & Ikon Bulldog handle
Gem S/S [ 3 ]
Pitralon Polar A/S lotion

After a glitch with pipework in my downstairs Shaving area, I was pleased to be back there today. I used an ER1924 teamed up with a new handle having got to prefer using it with a longer handle. With a great Cade lather the Shave was excellent, very smooth it was almost impossible not to have got an ultra close finish. The Razor + Handle were a delight to use and are a definite pairing for future shaves.

I should mention an element of my Shave that I rarely mention, I have a pre Shave wash with Hero de Pravia glycerine soap, and missed it yesterday and over the weekend ,and it was noticeable that softening of the beard with ordinary soap just did not happen. Must pack it into my travel bag.

The Gillette 7 o'clock blades pair well with the Feather AS-D2 I find. MWF is a lovely soap too.
