SOTD: Saturday 7th - 13th of September 2019

Pre shave - Prorasso
Razor - Feather AS-D2
Blade - Gillette 7 O'clock Yellow (3rd Use)
Brush - MÜHLE Sophist Silvertip Fibre
Cream - Castle Forbes Lavender
ASB - L'Occitane (lavender scent)
EDT - Guilty by Gucci

Loving my new (to me) MÜHLE synthetic. It's my first synthetic and felt a bit weird at first but after a week of shaves I'm loving it. Only minor drawback is the handle is a tad short for my ideal as I'm a bowl latherer.

Good work Tony. It's been really interesting to read your development with the AC SS. I'm still way too scared (and cack-handed) to consider using one.
Thank you @Boycie83, I have to admit it was a bit daunting at the start, I have used a straight in the past but it was a long time ago, I sliced myself a few times when learning. I have had a bit practice with the Chinese clones before I pulled the trigger on the feather, I also got a unused AC-DX in a trade for an old unused straight. I have to admit it has given me a sense of achievement getting to grips with it. I need to try and use it once a week to keep the familiarity.
Hard though when I have so many razors.
If you fancy it I would go for it mate, the clone I got was cheap as chips and helped make my mind up.

With my usual sense of belated punctuality the theme for my shave last night was 'Where there's brass there's muck (and a shave)'

Top brass - Colonial General in brass
Brass neck - Kai Captain
Brass band - Cadman Tuxedo in copper and black
Brass monkey - L'Occitane Cade cream
Brass rubbing - L'Occitane Cade aftershave cream
Brass visaged - The Bath House Cuban cedar and lime

It is no wonder my wife hates my sense of timing with a vengeance. Complains when I am late :rolleyes:and then complains when I am too early . Very much a lose lose position in life.

The brass connection......

Just at a point where I thought all the Colonial Generals on the planet had been accounted for up pop's a most generous of offers from @RussellR5555 . A General in brass? The unobtanium object on my list of the unobtainable. And things don't stop there, two handles. A smooth finish and a knurled item. Ecstatic before it even gets near my face.

@FrankieG you are right on song with your words about the brass General

It fells slightly weightier than the stainless General but on the face feels very familiar except.......even smoother. Armed to the plates with a Kai Captain this is one mean dream razor. Doesn't miss a thing and manages to scythe away growth with intimate ease. No cuts, nicks or even the slightest blemish. Brilliance in brass.

My Carlsberg razor. Probably

Cadman? It's a brush. It just happens to be my Carlsberg of brushes
L'Occitane Cade cream and aftershave. Carlsbergy
The Bath House because I love their quirky scents. And they happen to be very Danish lager as well.

Smoother than a cool pint on a hot day and feeling that Shaving thing refreshed.

So happy I can only end on........
