SOTD : Saturday 6th April - Friday 12th April

A excellent shave set up...The Parker 89R is a hefty efficient razor,..I'll have to give mine a outing. I have nine Parker's in total!..four passed on to me by work mates, five i've bought ,The 3 piece models i find more efficient than the TTO models.. Great all round razors fitted with either a aggressive or non-aggressive blade provide a excellent shave, look superb, great handles, great weight, at a very reasonable price...
What blades would you recommend, not too aggressive though.

9/4/19

Pre - Soap Free Face wash
Soap - Valobra Stick
Brush - Omega 80265
Razor - Gillette Fat Handle Tech
Blade - Gillette Silver Blue
Post - Witch Hazel/RSC
AS - Superdrug Forest Fresh

The GWS seemed to be at it's sharpest so far, I imagine down to some of the Teflon wearing off? It was an absolutely superb match with the Fat Handle Tech, I really shouldn't be buying any more blades but I find myself looking at 100 blade carton's on ebay.

Moss Anniversary Slate scuttle
Rooney 3/3 Porcelain Finest (26/59)
AoS Rose Absolute shaving cream
Wolfman WR1-SB/WRH7 Titanium
Personna 74 Tungsten (8)
Guerlain Habit Rouge aftershave

Edwin Jagger Limes and Pomegranate Cream (sample)
Omega Mixed Midget
Face lather
Gillette Aluminium Tech
Feather Hi-Stainless
Alcolado Glacial

Another bash with the cream sample; as part of the travel kit. Although I prefer soaps (I only have one cream in my collection - TOBS Cedarwood), it is pretty good: a finger tip dab or two on the face and a fine, 3 pass lather was brought about by the Mixed Midget.

The Tech continues to give great shaves; especially with the Feather blade.

I may make this my last shave, until I get home. My destiny lies with a newly acquired R41 head and iKon OSS handle; and I'd like them to have a reasonable growth to ridicule.

DE blades are a subjective choice,.But i've found Voskhod's give me a really smooth shave, Personna Platinum's are another good choice. Both blades give excellent results when matched up with my Parker's. YMMV though..Hope this helps.
