SOTD : Saturday 5th October - Friday 11th October 2019.

Fri 11th Oct

Stirling Syn. 26mm
Arko stick - grated
Schick Type F
Schick- “Chick” ( 5 )
Massimo Dutti A/S lotion

The Shick F is a very tactile and agile Razor which is a treat to use.Though it might be considered mild it is also quite efficient and forgiving.Though I got a rather watery lather the Shave was smooth and comfortable, and a good close finish was attained without any problems.

This day had me theme my shave 'The lady with the Tutti Fruitti hat'

View attachment 48066

Banana banana banana - Razorock GC 68
Life is peachy - Polsilver Lodz
Cherry bomb - Cadman 30mm Tuxedo in copper and black
I've got a lovely pair of coconuts - Signature Soaps Londinium
Raspberry beret - Signature Soaps Londinium (Lime scented and naff all to do with raspberries)
Blueberry Hill - Extro Arancia splash
Please don't touch my Papaya - ADP Assoluta

A very fruit orientated SOTD

I recall when I first started to get in to punk music my mother once said ' Christopher. This music is rubbish and they don't write lyrics like they used to in songs anymore'. 'You mean like Yes I have no bananas and Chica Chica Boom Chic?'. Ah well, so just for you out there here is a short of a lady trying for the world record as to the most bananas a person can carry on their head

My shave

Time to reach for something out of the back of the cupboard which never really sees the light of day (obscured by bananas) and the RazoRock Game Changer 0.68 armed to the head with a Polsilver Lodz. A pretty little razor and it served its duties well. I still swear that this is a perfect entry level razor to those adventuring in to the world of 'real razors with real blades'. I see it as a logical step up from say an R89 and one which could quite easily see someone through a lifetime of happy shaves. A star

The soap is a first time out for the new arrival on the doorstep, Signature Soaps Londinium. When are we going to see a Boltoninium or a Wiganinium? Something a bit more NW orientated? Anyway another great soap from these Bolton based people (folk, single person). The lime isn't as pronounced as say CF, but I do find the Forbes to be rather over artificial whereas the scent here is a little more balanced and doesn't give one the sensation of having just eaten a whole bag of limes. Exactly the same as previous Signature outings and a superb and very usable lather. The Cadman doing its job with a aplomb (aplum?) and the working end of the shave sorted in a very nice fashion.

End result after three full passes being a comfortable and very acceptable shave without any misadventure. Smoother than the Brexit negotiations and feeling rather fine and dandy.

A shave like this deserves a scent to round things off and in this case a good splash of Extro Arancia as a base followed by a liberal spray of ADP Assoluta. The two working really great together and not just well shaven, but now smelling divine in a very citrus kind of way. Think Robinson's mixed fruit squash and you are getting there.

So one great shave and to finish the shaving end of the day here is a video of those pretty Japanese ladies 'Band Maid' which includes fruit.

All the very best to you in this little shaving community
I have Mamucium (Manchester of course). Just wondering what fragrance I would use for a Bolton and Wigan version?
Regards Brian
