GEM G-Bar
Thater 4125/2 (3 Band)
Saponificio Varesino Stella Alpina
LEA aftershave (decant*)

A great shave this evening. The G-bar performed brilliantly along with the (as ever) stunning Saponificio Varesino.

*Finished off with LEA aftershave courtesy of a decant from @Boru62 thanks Kevin.
It has a high level of alcohol and a good dash of menthol to boot. Ideal for a day like today.

Cheers

SOTD, Monday 07 May 2018

Pre-shave - Warm shower, Wright's Cold Tar Soap, followed by warm water splash.
Cream - Speick.
Brush - Simpsons Chubby 2, Synthetic.
Bowl - Little Wren Pottery.
Razor - Colonial The General
Blade - Proline P-30 (Day 2).
Post shave - Cold water splash; Clinique Post Shave Balm followed by Myrsol Lemon.

A lovely 2 pass shave today, before heading off to Edinburgh for a bank holiday day out with SWMBO; DFS + finish. Its been a while since I have shaved with a SE, being hooked on the Rex Ambassador and the Muhle R41 in recent rotations.

As an experiment, I picked up some Aesop's Moroccan Neroli Shaving Serum, which I am planning to use on Tuesday. I love the idea of Sandalwood and Neroili.

Hope everyone had a good bank holiday weekend.

All the best,

Chris

Finishing the shave off with a splash of herbs of bulgaria ~ lavender a/s lotion, which has a wonderful menthol edge to it also..superb stuff!

My face is feeling cool smooth,& smelling devine.;)

Tuesday morning

Valobra tallow stick
RazoRock BC Silvertip 24mm synth
Face lather
Ever Ready 1912 Bathroom Set
Gem SS PTFE
Alum
Thayer's Cucumber and Aloe Vera
Speick after shave
Chopard Noble Vetiver EdT

Fresh blade in the ER; which has a lovely grip with its aluminium handle. Even with such a light razor, a light touch gave a beautifully close, 3 pass, chin-strokingly excellent finish. Tallowy goodness from the Valobra and a nice, understated scent from the Chopard. All's good.

My last shave was three days ago and boy, my face feels great now. What a good shave today. I have been using the Merkur 34C for a week now and I really like it. Way better than the MÜHLE 89.
Witchhazel has become my standard postshave now and replaced my alum block. The skin feels much better.
