I gave my face 4 days to recover following my first use of the Focus R48 on Friday. It's all good other than one small scar just under my lower lip, but onwards and upwards. The razor will be used again!

However, today's shave. I'm going out with Mrs C and little Ms C this afternoon. We're off to see Hugh Jackman tonight in Glasgow.

So, wanting a hassle free shave - step up the OneBlade Genesis, armed with a fresh Feather FHS Blade.

I spent a good amount of time on my prep, removing as much of the dead and damaged skin from last Fridays escapade. All was good and the RSC face scrub was a good recommendation by @culcreuch

An incident free 3 pass shave. I actually couldn't believe how much of my 4 days growth came off with the 1st pass. At that point it was a DFS but for today I wanted a BBS.

Finishing the other 2 passes has me smooth as glass. A fantastic shave. Yes, the OB isn't mind blowing, but the end result for days like this is excellent!

A great shave and hopefully a great evening!

Have a good one folks! [emoji1303]

Brush - Yaqi Mysterious Space Handle Fan Tuxedo 26mm
Soap - Lea Cream
Razor - Ball End Tech
Blade - 7OC Black India (6)
Post - Witch Hazel/RSC Balm
AS - Brut Oceans

The 7OC Black has definitely smoothed out after a few shaves, it was the most comfortable on the face for today's shave.

The Lea Cream is a very good one, produces a nice thick lather with great cushion with a very nice post shave feel.

Monday 6th May SOTD

La Toja Mango soap
RazoRock 400 Plissoft Noir
Alvarez Gomez BarberIa Shaving Cream
Timeless 0.68 Scalloped
Gillette Silver Blue (1)
Pinaud Clubman Classic Vanilla ASL

I dialed the BarberIa lather in just right, and was rewarded with a very slick and protective lather.
First time I've used a Silver Blue in the Timeless and it was as a perfect match, smoothness personified. Very comfortable and zero irritation.

Thanks again to Iain, @Digimonkey for facilitating my use of the Mango soap and BarberIa Shaving Cream.

No problem P. - my pleasure - cheers - I.

Ayars Waterfall Lathering Bowl
Rooney 3/3 Ebony Finest (26/66)
AoS Rose Absolute shaving cream
Wolfman WR1-SB/WRH7 Titanium
Wilkinson 'Light Brigade' (10)
Guerlain Habit Rouge aftershave
Floris Moss Rose EdT (vintage)

It's starting to warm up here in the mornings, so I am using the lathering bowl or my scuttle with tepid water. The brush is one of the relatively soft high-loft ones, ideal for the shaving cream today, and the lightweight razor is wonderfully smooth. I am still on the fence about whether or not I like rose fragrance, but my wife sure likes it on me, commenting positively every time.

Omega, Vector, Irish Fern.JPG

Pre: Pears Original Transparent
Brush: Omega 63185
Soap: 1912 Irish Fern
Razor: Blackland Vector
Blade: Kai Captain Titan Mild (1)
Post shave: Alum Block, cold water splash, homemade Witch Hazel with Lemon & Lime, Cedarwood, Arabian Musk oil
Balm: Proraso Red Post shave
A/S: R Harris Bay Rum

After the Occam's brilliant performance yesterday I thought I would only need a single pass and touch up tonight, early start in the morning so no time to shave.
Enter the Vector.
I decided to load her with the Titan Mild as I wanted to try this blade before I commit to adding it to my blade arsenal.
A great face lather from the Omega and 1912, this Irish Fern soap is delicate on the nose and reminds me of hill walking in the early morning.
The Vector is fantastic to look at and hold, the head size is just perfect and she has great weight and balance. The angle for shaving was spot on from the off and she is easy to manoeuvre around the face, the top lip is a doddle with this head, she is a very agile razor. However, i do believe the "pink" is too mild for me, although not really tugging i could feel the stubble cutting. i still had a great 1st experience with her, and cannot wait to get a Feather PB loaded.
I completed 2 passes and needed some buffing to get the same result i had from the Occam.
Again nothing really to report from the Alum block, a cold water splash and a dash of Homemade witch hazel. the Proraso Red moisturising my face and a splash of DR Harris Bay Rum, i really like this AS.
Feeling fresh and clean and very happy with the Vector.
Blades swapped over, the Occam now sports the Kai Pink and the Vector sports the Feather PB.
Round 2 to come.
Have a great night all.
