SOTD : Saturday 4th August ~ Friday 10th August 2018.

Prep ~ Mysore Sandlewood soap, Luke warm shower
Razor ~ Ever-Ready 1912 with Stainless Darwin type handle
Blade ~ Ever-Ready Corrux stropping blade
Soap ~ Noble Otter - Flying Hide
Brush ~ Thater 4125/2 Silvertip (Gel tips)
Post ~ Vitos Tobacco Aftershave
Scent ~ Christian Dior - Leather Oud

I always get a great shave from any of my 1912s but I do enjoy the heavier longer handle that I grafted to this one and these Stropping blades are a perfect match for these older razors, just as sharp after a strop but a little smoother imo.
The soap I only used a few days ago and I found both the scent and the performance top draw and today was no change, I really get a strong smell of leather and that smoky cedar and a smell of tobacco, the two I'm missing is th bergermont and bay but my nose isn't what it should be so I'm lucky to be picking up on what I am.
To paint a picture, I'm sitting in my leather flying jacket in a leather arm chair smoking a cigar and in the room is a fire with some cedar logs smouldering away while I wait for the shout to run towards the Spitfires on the airfield to do some battling with the Bosh before comming home for Ham and eggs!
If a smell of a tub of soap can make me Imagine all of that and be a bloody good performer well I will be buying some more!
My brush was as wonderful as the soap, gel tips giving this brush the softest of face feels when lathering, it has been one of my best brush buys of late, cheers @Blackmass :)
To finnish of a wonderful shave and to complement the soap it had to be Dior Leather Oud again and why not a top notch scent that works well even with this warm weather we've been having.

Wishing you all get home for your Ham and eggs, let's be carful up there! Pip Pip. P.

Pears Glycerine Soap
Vitos Pre Shave Cream
Cyril R. Salter French Vetiver Shaving Cream
Omega 20102 Boar Brush
Giles Shaving Co Bowl
Ikon X3 Razor on a Windrose Damascus Steel Handle with a Polisilver SI
Alum Block, Rinse and Witch Hazel
Aloe Vera Gel and Macadamia Oil
Hai Karate AS

The French Vetiver was found lurking at the back of a cupboard and most definitely is an old recipe. Hopefully I won't grow another head as a result of the Parabens which was commonly found a few years back! The X3 is a mild razor.....but the desired result was achieved with 3 passes and a touch up in the usual difficult areas.

A good start to the week:)

Pre: Cold water face wash,
Brush: S_J Zebrano 24mm ST
Soap: Cyril R. Salter Tallow
Razor: Gillette Slim H1 (7)
Blade: Astra SP
Post: Cold water rinse, Benjamin's Pimento (sample) ASL

The occasional DE shave isn't bad when it's with a razor of this calibre.
It's no SE though!
I prefer this to the straight Benjamin's, a bit heavier on the bay but still quite a light scent and again not too sweet.
Happy Shaving one and all.

Prep: Valobra Glycerlanolina soap, Myrsol Emulsion
Brush: M&F / Brad Forbes Finest Badger
Soap: Klar Kabinett
Razor: Merkur Futur (2)
Blade: Vintage NOS Personna Super Platinum Chrome (5)
Post: Thayers Cucumber Witch Hazel / Myrsol Emulsion
Scent: APR Fougère Bourbon Rose

First use of the Klar Kabinett soap. Lovely stuff. I can see why this was the soap of choice for many professional Barbers in Europe. Easy to lather, a gentle and pleasant rose scent, and very good performance, including a nice post-shave feel. My hat is off to that master enabler, The Monkster, aka @Blademonkey, for piquing my interest in this soap.
The vintage Personna blade continues to perform effortlessly - I am really impressed with its smoothness when shaving against the grain. Also impressive is the performance of the M&F brush. Finishing off with one of my favourite fragrances, APR Fougère Bourbon Rose, which matched the soap scent nicely.

SOTD 06/08 - Staying with the vintage razors...

Heart notes: Hyssop, Thyme and Cedar
Base notes: Oak and Moss

Brush: AP Shave Co Faux Butterscotch 28mm SilkSmoke
Blade: Gillette Silver Blue (1)
Razor: Gillette Lady Blue Starburst (1966 - L1)

A few days away staying with friends, so no SOTD reports as sharing a Bathroom means Shaves a bit rushed.
However, played on the safe side and had fuss free OK Shaves with a Schick "O" Clone.
Rather nice to be back home where I have a Shower/ Wash Room to myself, so do not have to rush. Very satisfying using the ATT SE1 with a fresh blade and an abundant MWF lather had no problems getting super close all round finish.
