Sun 4th OCtober#4 Shave-Off SOTD
Cream Suezbana Lemon & TeaTree
Brush Omega Boar
#1 Razor/Blade Gillette British RFB with Gillette Nacet 4
#2 Razor/Blade Gillette New LC with Gillette London Bridge 2
Post & Aftershave
Ice Water + Special Thayers Mix
Hyaluronic + Reuzel Wood & Spice
Epic lather! Nice scent, creamy and slick.
Today is a shave-out between 2 similar looking Gillette OC...at least in eyes they looked similar. Reason? Gotta use up as many OC razor in a week for OCtober
The New LC with London Bridge & the RFB with Nacet...
3 pass wtg, xtg & atg.
Results...
New LC with London Bridge is a little smoother and comfortable plus efficient. Total BBS glass smooth.
RFB with Nacet is just slightly less smooth and less efficient but still comfortable. Between BBS to DFS. To be fair...London bridge blade is on 2nd use while Nacet is on 4th. Excellent post & aftershave.
Rating 10/10 !!

4 October 2020 – mid-morning – rubbish weather – was hoping to go cycling ….
Good three pass shave (3 days growth). Some minor irritation.

Prep: Shower / Nuage Shave Oil
Brush: Yaqi Rainbow 26mm
Razor: Wilkinson Sword Classic Black
Blade: Wilkinson Sword (white)
Soap: Stirling Coconut & Lime
After: Cold Water splash – Ajanta Alum – Paco Rabanne 1 Million ASB

4/10/20

Soap - Tabac Stick
Brush - Omega 10075 (23mm/48mm)
Razor - Ball End Tech Tech
Blade - Treet Platinum (4)
Post - Witch Hazel/Nivea Balm
Splash - Eyup Sabri Tobacco

A rare outing for my Omega 10075, it's a brush I enjoy the face feel of as with the shorter loft, it's scrubbier than my go to Omega 11819 with a 55mm loft, but I find the shorter lofted 10075 takes a little longer to build a lather, and holds a lot less lather as well. Nonetheless, I produced a very good lather for the first pass, and just enough for the 2nd pass, with a tiny bit left for cleanup around my jaw.
4th shave with the Treet Platinum and I've been reasonably impressed with it, it's a good performer for sure, and it's worked with the Gillette Techs I paired it with. I'd say the blade is in the same category of sharpness like the Astra SP, but it doesn't quite perform as well as a ASP.
Finished the shave with Eyup Sabri Tobacco, quite a sweet synthetic tobacco flower scent, not my favourite AS but not a bad one nonetheless.

Have a good Sunday chaps.

Sandalwood Sunday

Pre - Shower / Face wash
Soap - TOBS Sandalwood
Brush - ESC Big Jock Badger
Razor - MÜHLE R89
Blade - Personna Red (6)
Post - Kouros AS followed by Moisturiser

A nice quick two and a bit pass shave. I get a nice shave when I use this soap, it is a little disappointing though. The scent isn't great, it's more soapy and very mild. Unlike other soaps (and creams) I've used it doesn't leave your face slick between passes. When I purchase the soap with the wooden tub it wasn't wrapped in cellophane, so I wonder if it's lost some of it's original scent etc.

This was a relaxing 20 minute two-and-a-bit passes shave. The brush isn't great but it's handy for the smaller shaving soap tins and it does get the soap where you need it.

Enjoy the rest of weekend all;)(y)

*This 70 year old razor performs well and is small compared to some more modern stuff especially adjustables. Plating quality is excellent perhaps it sat in a cupboard unused for years.
* I'm a bit of a Feather snob but I like these Indian blades.

Good afternoon all, I hope you're all well.

Brush - Omega Boar
Soap - Signature Soaps Condate
Razor - Rockwell 6S (R2)
Blade - Gillette Rubie #2
Post - Alum Block, Barts Lime Oil Balm

First time using the R2 plate and there was a noticeable difference with the first pass, compared to the R4. There was much more growth left, but the second pass (XTG) was all that was needed for a good clean shave. A little bit of buffing up around the chin and a quick splash of cold water and we're all done.

Brians hybrid soap required very little effort with the Omega to produce a great, lovely scented lather.

I'm quite liking this beardless lark.

Have a great evening gentleman.

Floris Elite aftershave (vintage)

Wonderful. I doubt that a baby ever had as smooth a butt. The Elite scent is not my favorite, but it has sentimental value as the very first high-end vintage aftershave I bought when I got back into wet shaving 13-14 years ago.
