Pre: Hot Shower
Cream: Pacific Shaving Co. Single Use Minis
Razor: Rockwell 6S (6/6/5)
Blade: Ladas (2)
Brush: Yaqi Sagrada Familia
Post: Hot & Cold Water Rinse
A/S: Proraso Green
Balm: @BartsBalm - Lavender

Everything in this shave performed flawlessly. The single use minis are amazing. Easily whipped up enough cream for a 3 pass shave plus more. The balm is from a Scottish company and left my face feeling very smooth and hydrated and the lavender scent is just lovely.

3 full passes tonight and so so close to being an epic shave, spoiled by one momentary lapse of attention and sliced my neck just below the jawline. Minor, but visible. It will leave a lovely line tomorrow. Serves me right for trying too hard for BBS ... pretty much there though :p Definitely the best overall finish I've had from a straight shave, with maybe a touch more irritation than usual.

Soho Joe Original Face Wash
JR168 tuxedo synthetic
Phoenix and Beau Whitechapel soap
Geo. Wostenholm and Sons Pipe Razor
A little alum, and
"New" Old Spice After Shave Lotion

Sotd - Monday night - 2/4/18

Razor - Schick O Type clone
blade - Schick Japanese twin (lost count)
brush - Simpsons P8 Phyl LE best badger
soap - RazoRock Emperor tallow
post - witch hazel
a/s - RazoRock Emperor
balm - Bart's Amber and Moroccan Jasmine.

Result - just lovely.

I didn't need to shave tonight - after using the Cobra yesterday - I was still visually clean shaven - but it's been such a cold miserable day - it was snowing in Glasgow - and I was pissed off. A restorative shave ahoy. The O Type is perfect for a quick clean up - thinking about it - it's perfect for any type of shave. Astonishingly effective but mild and totally safe in use. I have a new to me Rockwell 6C that I haven't used yet - they seem to have a lot of fans about here - but I'll leave that for a heavier growth. I've had a play with it - it has a real heft to it. Solid in the hand. Looks and feels good. A build quality that would seem to be-lye its price. I hadn't used the Simpsons P8 for a while - it is one of the best brushes that I own - superb. I managed to dramatically overload it because I was so enjoying the smell of the soap opening out. It's an Aventus copy - it starts with a bright, sweet and uplifting pineapple note. The tallow RazoRock soaps work really well for me - during and after use. A healthy dose of the matching splash and finish with Bart's Amber and Moroccan Jasmine balm - the scent of which is well matched to the soap and aftershave. Job done - bbs - and in a much better mood. Oh - I have to report the kitten in the close was a bit wary of me today after the Caldey Island incident yesterday. Enjoy your shaves one and all - yours - I.

Beautiful Wostie you have there

Must have been a good day for straight razor shaving as I had my best one ever today as well.

Date: 03 April 2018

Pre-shave:- Cold Water straight from the tap
Brush:- RazoRock Plissoft Synth. 24/57mm knot
Soap/Cream:- Arko (3 shave sticks grated into a 150ml plastic tub)
Razor/Blade:- Merkur 34C / Gillette Nacet #1
Post-shave:- Thayers Witch Hazel & Tea Tree Oil / Lucky Tiger Aftershave & Face Tonic
Fragrance:- Hugo Boss (Original)

I will be using the RazoRock Plissoft Synth brush, Merkur 34C and the Arko shaving soap for a while because the house is going to Auction on Saturday 5th of May so there will be house inspection every Thursday and Saturday because all my shaving gear is put away into my military footlocker.

WOW..... haven't used Arko tallow soap for a while because I can smell a very strong soapy sour scent of lemon went straight through my sinus.

Greetings,

A very enjoyable early morning shave, before i return to the mill, after a quick, but relaxing easter bank holiday weekend break.

My latest found wonder are the super-max b.d. blade, which i've only recently gave some attention to after a very long period of not adding them to my blade rotation, shame on me!.

A excellent 3 pass + pick ups silky smooth shave with no errors to report.

Finish the shave off in style with a liberal splash of C.K. Eternity A/S.

My face is feeling refreshed, & smelling devine.;)

Enjoy your day, ladies & gentlemen.
