vintage nothing fancy Lucite handle silvertip
1959 Fatboy/Feather
vintage rose Coates cream
Proraso AS sandalwood balm (very nice)
vintage Old Spice cologne (lighthouse)

Been onna Feather kick with a few of the milder razors and this combo today was about perfect! Used those blades in another Fatboy shaves and one loaded inna Stahly head.......also wonderful.

Pre:

warm wet flannel to my face.

Pears ~ Transparent Soap.

Brush: Chinese Synthetic.

Face Lather.

Soap : Lea Shave Stick.

Blade: Parker~Premium Platinum.(3)

Razor: Parker Variant. (Settings) 3. wtg, 4. xtg , 5. atg + Pickups.

Post:

Cold Water Face Rinse./Homemade menthol crystals +Eucalyptus peppermint,+ Tea Tree Oil Witch Hazel Mixture./ Nivea Men ~ 2 phase ASL.+ Body Shaving Anti Irritation ASL.

Another early morning shave,


The Parker Razor & blade duo was superbly smooth, mowing through my stubble effortlessly with each pass..Parker shaving products are very admirable, and great value for money.

A absolutely flawless 3 pass + pick ups BBS shave with no errors to report.

Finishing to the shave off with a generous dollop of Nivea Men ~ Body Shaving Anti Irritation ASL.

My face is feeling super smooth & smelling devine.;)

I don't want to get into the routine evening shaves so this morning was a single pass ATG shave to reset the base line.
An excellent finish and I am finding that my skin seems to feel better since I started using cold water.

This was this was only the second time this year that I had used this lovely razor and I was rewarded with a cracking shave, the soap was very good indeed giving me good protection and slide with the lovely aroma of Oud Santal, perfect! :)

First outing of the Super Dense Manchurian Finest knot set by James @Acer89 . Although James said it would need 30 plus uses before it was broken in, it hit the ground running.
From the off it created copious amounts of lather with amazing face feel and loads of flow through. Very, very impressed.

Couple of firsts... Boellis croap, nice almond scent (not too sweet) 4/10 strength. Performance very good, better than Cella? Not so sure on that. Also first go on a Gillette Guard, pivoting head means there is no angle to learn, it's a standard cart affair but only a single blade which provided me with an effortless BBS, preferable to a BIC? Maybe, the jury's still out on that one.

Got ABC almond croap to try next and valobra after that... Sniff tested them so far and the ABC has a stronger & sweeter almond scent akin to Cella whilst the Valobra is borderline unscented.

G'day @Rohleder - I have the 1924 Panama 250g brick - I've broken off half and pressed into a bowl. I find the scent strength pretty good - maybe 7/10. I suspect that, as is often the case with samples, the scent is reduced due to compression, handling, and shipping. Good to see that you've picked it up from Jim - he is an absolute gent.

I missed using the 1914 on my last ER Rotation. This particular model is great as it has pronounced blade retaining lugs. and a powerful top cap . Though I like long handles, I have kept this in its original State as it is in vgc so would be a shame to spoil it.
Despite the short handle, I easily adapt to using it and had a really smooth Shave, being able to use short precision stokes to get an ultra close finish-rather a Face Stroker.
This version of the 1914 gives both the Streamline and 1924 a run for their money in terms of Shave Quality delivered, many in fact find those two to be rather aggressive.
