Great One Pass Shave today in Turkey. The guy spent a fair bit of time creating a lather and as he shaved with the straight he removed the lather with the back of the blade before cutting the hair. An interesting technique. The black road tar on the cheeks and in the nose and ears was very interesting and hurt a bit when ripped off.

The Stirling Sandlewood soap was smelling delightful as well as providing a slick protective lather

You seem to rate this soap highly. I meant to get it but I read somewhere that the scent is similar to the PAA sandalwood which I already have, an earthy type of sandalwood scent, but I'm a fan of Stirling soaps so I might still get it :)

Prep: Shower Original Source Mint and Tea Tree Gel
Nuage oil
Soap: TOBS Peppermint
Brush: Yaqi 28mm Tuxedo
Razor: Gillette Silver Flare Tip
Blade: Voskod (5)
Post: Hot rinse Alum Block cold rinse
Aftershave: Nivea 2 Phase
A minty shave today
I don't know what it is but the Voskod in the Gillette Silver Flare Tip seems like a match made in heaven for me

To be honest all Stirling soaps are good and the mutton tallow a tad better still, I don't think you can go wrong with them. P.

You'll be pleased to discover its DLC coating, not plastic ;)

To be honest guys most soaps offer great performance and the ones that don't, I'm sure we already know about them :) what scent to pick is the difficult part for me, being such a personal and subjective thing.

Stirling and PAA are my two favourite soaps, I have 13 Stirling soaps and even more PAA soaps..... I know, I'm crazy to have so many.... I even have backups for those I enjoy the most and I'm embarrassed about my SAD.

embrace your SAD and don't worry about it, it's your money and you can spend it as you please, I also have backups , it makes perfect sense, what if a particular soap you enjoyed stopped being produced, we will be ok for a while .....froward thinking, they don't take up much space and they don't need feeding! :) P.

That is a cool looking razor, reminds me of the guardian in the 1st Thor movie
Thanks Steven, I'll have to check the film out but the Cobra shaves as good as it looks.

(No photo today since I never got to use the last two and I was in the huff)
I don't know if this helps but since the site revamp I've had to crop the photos smaller than previously.

Thur 5th July
RazoRock Plissoft 22mm
Cyril Salter Solid Soap
Alu. General + S/S Handle
Schick Proline [ 1 ]
Pitralon Polar A/S Lotion

I do have a preference for Heavy Razors,so I do not use the General much. As last time out I had an iffy Shave, which I put down to the blade being off, so today used a fresh Blade. With a new blade and the S/S Handle, I was able to Shave without using undue pressure, and as rewarded with a nice smooth ride and an excellent close finish. I suspect that I may get more Shaves out of this blade than I dud with the Feather Pro.

Myrsol Don Miguel 1919 ~ Semogue Owners Club ~ BIC 1 ~ Myrsol Emulsion

Some may chuckle at using the old BIC disposables but I find them unbeatable when I want a fast, hassle free shave. Massive thanks to @Acer89 for the Don Miguel, you are a gent :) It's a really strong jasmine scent with a hint of citrus up front... Very enjoyable, whipped up a fantastic lather too which is more than can be said for their Formula K croap I have... Same ingredients so goodness knows what's going on there.
