Stirling Syn. 26mm
Stirling Baker Street
Schick J3- Golden 500
Achick S/S-Single-Japan [ 1 ]
Tuff Green A/S Lotion

I decided that as the existing blade in the J3 was past its best a new blade was in order. I chose to use a Japanese Blade, which I acquired when I thought I had ordered Twins [ the Packing the Same ]. I like them but they are quite expensive so I use them rarely, they are Super in my Type F.
This is my first use of this blade in my J3, and though the Shave was smooth and comfortable I needed have done more work on the neck where the finish was a bit lacking. I will be interested after a couple of good Shaves to see how it fares against a Proline.

I fancied a nice zingy lime to cap off this very sunny week and remembered I have a couple of samples.
The cream is quite a dark lime scent and there's an ointment like background to it, not unpleasant but also not something I'd go and buy. The performance on the other hand is pretty good.
I do like the balm though and might be checking it out in the near future.
Happy Shaving one and all.

Friday 6th July

RazoRock 400 Plissoft Noir
BBA Pre Shave Oil
Wickham 1912 Club Cola
Muhle R41
Voskhod (2)
Peppermint Lavender & Lime witch hazel
Myrsol Agua De LImon Aftershave

Today I decided to use my R41 as recently I've used my Rockwell exclusively and fancied a change.
I'm pleased I did as I had a very good enjoyable shave, made even better by using cold water throughout.
The pre shave oil helped the blade glide and softened my whiskers in preparation for my shave.
Club Cola provided an excellent lather, as always.
It's a shame the Myrsol Lemon scent doesn't linger longer as I like the Sherbert Lemon blast.

Prep: Valobra Glycerlanolina soap, Myrsol Emulsion
Brush: Rudy Vey Shavemac Silvertip Badger
Soap: Boellis Panama 1924
Razor: Vintage Gillette Rocket HD
Blade: Polsilver Super Iridium (3)
Post: Thayers Cucumber Witch Hazel / Myrsol Emulsion
Scent: Boellis Panama 1924

I am loving the Rudy Vey Shavemac brush - it makes lathering an absolute doddle. A nice combo of soft tips and good backbone, and surprisingly good flow-through for a 30mm knot.
My first use of the Boellis Panama 1924 soap. I simply have to say that it blew me away. The scent is not the same as the Panama 1924 aftershave and cologne, but never fear. The soap scent is a beautiful natural almond/amaretto - exquisite. The lather performance was as good as I have ever experienced. Post-shave was also stellar. It has shot to the top of my chart.
Also my first use of a vintage Gillette Rocket HD, kindly loaned by a fellow wet shaver. It paired well with the Polsilver, and was extremely comfortable. It also gave good feedback, which is not always present with mild razors. What a great little razor! Three passes for a DFS, and I'm grinning. :D

Didn't you detect the 1924 scent in the soap? I thought I did, it could be down to the power of suggestion! Who knows. :) P. That's a beautiful bowl by the way.

It may have been there is the background, Paul. The almond scent was intoxicating. :)
Thanks for your comment on the bowl. I re-finished it myself - it came up a treat.

Hi Guys from a very hot and sunny Turkey. It's my 50th birthday today and my good lady came up trumps with this Bronze timeless Razor for my birthday. The proraso was a good choice in this climate. 38c here today. I shaved on the balcony using a stick to the wall mirror. The razor is fantastic! //uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20180702/78fd3637c5af11532268be63b7c1d1e5.jpg
