Okay, so today is a birthday shave and a New Year shave. This would be a 3rd day in a row for me which I've not done since I started DE shaving half a year ago.

Why I decided to change so many things in one go is anyone's guess, but I'm paying for it.

I decided to try plate R5 on my 6c and for reasons unknown, I decided to use a Feather blade.

Another addition to the line up was OSP's Barber Shop soap however that performed flawlessly.

Starting the shave I was quietly confident in the blade. I could feel that the blade and plate were quite a bit more aggressive than usual but I made sure I watched my angle and pressure. The WTG pass went by with no errors.

Shaving XTG things started to liven up a bit. I caught myself at the left side of my lips and watched as claret formed then ran down. Bollocks. Not painful. Just a stupid lapse in concentration.

Rinsing at the end of this pass I could feel a slight heat around my chin.

The 3rd and final pass ATG had a few weepers around my lower chin. I could feel more heat and decided enough was enough. Could I do with a few pickups - sure. Would I regret it - definitely!

After rinsing I splashed on another new addition to my den with Epsilon Blue. It smells brilliant and is just like my barbers down the road. A splash and a scream as my face lit up! Hopping from foot to foot the burn died down and I inspected the damage. A quick touch with my styptic pencil needed....with another few ooohs and ahhhs as it made contact.

I've got a Good finish but I wasn't comfortable at all. The Feather blades will be getting passed on and I'll step back to plate R3 on my razor.

Things are beginning to cool down but I'll need to add some soothing balm to calm me down (hmmm.....I wonder - Barts???).

Have a great night folks and a happy New Year!

All the Best!
Happy belated birthday!

First shave of 2019 and maiden shave with the Weishi 2.0 Adjustable. The verdict?..I never try to compare my razors as each razor has it's own aggression, and take more than a few shaves to adjust to and find it's shaving angle however, and i get different results using an assortment of DE blades..I haven't used a Voshkod T.C. for a while and have paired up with every razor that i've matched them up with, today was no exception.

The blade enlignment on the Weishi adj, is equal on both sides,no clogging of the blade gap in-between each pass,as certain reviews on the weish adj have stated,i never take reviews to heart, it's just someone's opinion and judgement, 'Never believe anything you read or hear, and only half what you see'.. i found a normal rinse cleared the blade gap and left it clear for each pass, the adjustable settings worked smoothly enough The adjustment range is efficient enough to get a very close shave, but can be mild enough for when aggression is not needed, which will be good for every day shaving use.

In the past, they has been concerning issues with some of the chinese produced razors, this applies to alot of DE razor manufacturers though, not just chinese made ones, you take a risk with any mass-produced hit & miss products, fortunately with mine i got a hit and don't have any concerns or issues with the razor...My only gripe is, which has nothing to do with the razor is the free bandana thrown in with the razor, a silly un-called for selling gimmick IMHO, which didn't needed to be added to draw attention to potential buyers...However, the additional small cleaning brush which was also thrown in for free will come in very useful for when i'm cleaning my Wahl hair clippers.

I've used the same settings that i normally use when shaving with my Parker Variant,& Mingshi 2000s, one of my favourite soaps, which resulted in a comfortable 3 pass + pick ups silky DFS with no errors to report.

It's only my first shave with the Weishi adj, but i can see it becoming a firm favourite in my den...A exceptionally efficient, yet very smooth adjustable razor.A wonderful post christmas pressie to myself, and another wonderful addition to my DE razor collection.

My intented plan for 2019 is to carry on adding soft & hardware items to my sotd set ups that i've shamefully not gave much attention to in the past, due to impulsive buying bouts and reaching for trusted items, since my ruthless den clear-out last year, i'm now on a clear footing again, with only a few new christmas pressie additions that have been added to my den, which if i have to be truefully honest with myself i didn't really need, but i'm ever so grateful and happy that they are now part of my humble traditional wet shaving soft & hardware ,which i will use and get pleasure from rather than use a few times then forget i have them.

Having a vast variety of something isn't always a good thing, you can't appreciate it enough.

I intend to try and curb my urges and make 'NO MORE' impulsive shaving related buying bouts this year, 'i know we all say this,' but i'm going to do my best...The only rule to the exception will be something for my birthday,or if i really need it, which at the present moment in time i don't,so that'll be it.

I've said before 'I've got what i need, not what i want'.I'm going try to keep to my word and start to appreciate and use what i already have .Enough said.

My face is feeling smooth & smelling devine.
