Soap - Vitos Red & Green
Brush - Omega 11819
Razor - Ball End Tech
Blade - Treet Classic (1)
Post - Witch Hazel
Balm - Nivea Replenishing
AS - Benjamins Bay Rum

Third day with the Vitos Red & Green frankencroap, and my lathers are improving by the day. Even though it's a soap I've used for a while and on a regular basis, I'm coming to appreciate that I've probably at times loaded more soap than I needed like today, where I definitely used a bit more soap than I needed and even though my lather was a good one, it was possibly a little on the dry side of things. I'd not used my Omega 11819 brush for a while, it doesn't have as much scrub and backbone as my Zenith Euro but the Omega's tips are incredibly soft. It lost a fair number of bristles though, maybe around 5 of so. A pretty good shave all in all though, a little irritation on my left cheek - I imagine a remnant from yesterday's shave which wasn't the best.

Anyway chaps, I hope you have a good start to the week. Last week of July, this month seems to have flown by....

Following the failed attempt with the VdH and Duke 2 combo, I took a mixed brush to it today.

I'm very underwhelmed by this soap. The lather is barely adequate and the scent is alright. I should probably be realistic in my expectation of a £3 soap though. I limited the shave to a 2 pass (WTG/XTG) having bottled the ATG pass based on the performance. If I find myself bored and curious in the future, I may reach for it again but there's too many (significantly) better soaps/creams in my arsenal to use.

Fitted with the Personna Gem PTFE SE blades they give such a wonderful comfortable close shave.

A wonderfully smooth 3 pass + pick ups near bbs shave with no errors to report.

Finishing to the shave off with a generous dollop of Wilko ~ Men's Moisturiser.

Helloooo Baby!
A fantastic shave today and the much anticipated return of the Blackland Vector
Today I used the Edwin Jagger Lime & Pomegranate cream sample, there was about an almond sized amount in the pot, it all went in the bowl and the Simpson made real short work of lathering it up, the scent is very nice - if you like the lime citrus type scent - I do, it has a nice gloss finish and is not too heavy, it felt nice on the chin and had good staying power.
So up steps the slim, very nice looking, easy to manoeuvre Vector, fitted with a Kai "pink", she is just so nice to use, the first WTG pass was easy, she cleared up without issue, do I have a blade in it I thought? and the smile on my face growing.
2nd pass XTG giving some audio feedback, again no issues to report. After a face rinse I had a DFS+ finish, there was plenty of lather left and I was really enjoying the shave so no buffing, I completed a 3rd pass ATG. BBS - ta daa.
During the final rinse I noticed the soap had left a nice post shave slick feeling to the shave area, this cream is my kind of bag.
Some indication from the block on the left side of the neck, although I believe it was the remnants of yesterdays trial shave with the SS Clone, it went pretty quickly. A splash of witch hazel and it calmed down as quickly as it came.
The Bart's Balm AS Lotion soothed the area and I was ready for an AS splash. On closer inspection of the sample I found it was CK Be, its was nice, Woody & Musky with hints of Citrus. I now realise that the Assistant in the Perfume shop I use has sort of got what I like and has been handing me samples of scents I will like.
If I Had to, I mean really had to, only have 1 razor the Vector would be it. She is fantastic.
Have a great day All
