Quite a few weepers this evening. I think I'm getting carried away with the amount of pressure I can place on this razor. I'm sure I only need to apply enough to allow the head to pivot.

The styptic pencil was brought into action at the end just to stop one or two of the blood spots.

However another really smooth finish. Not a good shave due to the weepers but I'm still learning what I can get away with.

Have a great night folks! [emoji1303]

Shaving recipe for today.

Prep: Warm shower:/ L'OREAL ~ Mountain Water Shower Gel.

Pre:

Cold wet flannel to my face.

Pears ~ Transparent Lemon Flower Soap.

Brush: Wilkinson Sword Boar.

Face Lather.

Soap : Tabac.

Blade: Feather Hi Stainless .(2)

Razor: Wilkinson Sword Classic.

Post:

Cold Water Face Rinse./Homemade menthol crystals +Eucalyptus peppermint,+ Tea Tree Oil Witch Hazel Mixture./ Tabac~ ASL.

Wilko ~ Men's Moisturiser.

Greetings,

Another early morning shave,

It's been a while since i last used the tabac soap, after a five minute soak in warm water, then using my damp w.s. boar brush i was rewarded with a superb slick protective lather, adding water to the tips of the brush inbetween each pass.

The W.S. boar along with my Erasmic boar where the first brushes i purchased when entering the wonderful world of traditional wet shaving, both brushes are very non-expensive,and do shread a few hairs with every use which isn't a big issue for what they cost, and still load up the soap or cream to create an acceptable lather..What more is needed.

Second use of the feather hi stainless blade, which i was looking forward to trying out in the mild wilkinson sword classic, the aggression of the feather & the mildness of the razor was another great match mowing through my stubble with effortless ease.

A wonderfully smooth 3 pass + pick ups near bbs shave with no errors to report.

Finishing to the shave off with a generous dollop of Wilko ~ Men's Moisturiser.

My face is feeling super smooth & smelling old school devine.
;)
;)

Enjoy your day, ladies & gentlemen.

Tabac soap
Ever Ready "Streamline" set
Gem S/S [ 4 ]
Tabac A/S Lotion

Quite a nice set up today, but I made the mistake of going for a quick Shave. In future I will stick to my rule of no rush/take care, as I was quite disappointed with the quality of finish , I always have high expectations when using a "Streamline". Probably my worst Shave in a long time with any kind of Razor, and purely my own fault too.

Brush - Omega S-brush
Pre - Wilko Pre-shave Oil
Razor - 1950 (or 48/49?) Gillette Superspeed -- England
Blade - Voskhod (2)
Soap - Lea Stick
ASB - Nivea Men
Scent - Bleu de Chanel

Today's shave is a great British holiday effort. I'm currently in North Devon in a caravan with SWMBO and our two young daughters. Woke up to a freezing caravan hence the background of the photo. Thought I'd enjoy a shave whilst I'm away before building some growth ready to use the R41 again.

The S-brush has consistently shown itself to be a brilliant travel brush. The Lea Stick also performed well on its first use. Nice neutral scent and quick to lather. A DFS- result and the Superspeed did a good job. Still not my favourite razor but one I'll keep.

Enjoy the rest of the day chaps! We're now defrosted and off to the play pool.

Shave Of The Day. 30th April

Prep ~ Shower, Aleppo soap 50%
Razor ~ Ever-Ready 1912 with SS handle
Blade ~ Personna Gem
Soap ~ Le savon des Volcans
Brush ~ Zenith 28mm Manchurian sporting a wonderful blue handle :)
Post ~ Barts - peppermint Aftershave lotion

Another Donkey milk soap following on from yesterday, this one has 10% donkey milk and mint which makes for a creamy minty lather, not as strong as menthol.
I bought some of the last few sticks of this soap last year or the year before so I'm afraid it's going to be hard if not impossible to track any down but should you find some in the wild please let me know, it's a good soap......Nearly as good as La Savonniere du Moulin! :)
Anyway, a great shave was had from my 1912 and Barts Peppermint Aftershave lotion was just perfect for this soap.

Have a great day people.......P. :)
