SOTD : Saturday 25th - Friday 31st July 2020.

Brush - Yaqi Plissoft
Soap - Signature Soaps Eboracum
Razor - Gillette New OC
Blade - Voskhod (4)
Post - Witch Hazel
AS - Williams

First time using the Gillette New OC head Paul @pjgh very generously sent me, and there's no way I could assess a razor just after one use but my initial impressions of the razor are very favourable. It reminded me quite a lot of using a Old Type, but I found the New a more efficient and smooth, like with the Flat Bottom Tech I was sent, I can see the New becoming one of my favourite razor heads. A smooth and comfortable 2.5 pass shave today with a very pleasing lather as well, Brian's SS soaps always seem to produce a slick glossy lather with little to no bother.

Have a good day gents, I hope you enjoy the sunshine.

Aftershave Special Thayers Mix + Hyaluronic + Reuzel Wood & Spice
Finally get to travel for work. A quick island shave in preparation for a pleasurable underwater work.....lather just nice with pleasant scent and very slick.
Shave with razor paired with blade was smooth and comfortable. 3 multiple passes for a DFS++ result with no issues.
Just slap on cooling Thayers then soothed by Hyaluronic and Reuzel. Rating 9/10
Felt good and ready to meet my underwater friends. Unfortunately encountered am storms...pm was much better condition.....

Starting last Saturday, one full week with the same kit. Great shaves throughout, but noticeable improvement in managing the water content in the brush, it is capable of holding vast amounts of water. The lather improved, and as a result so did the shave. That was a good week.

Razor : Feather AS-D2
Blade : Personna Med Prep (5)
Brush : MÜHLE Sophist STF
Soap : DR Harris 'Arlington'
Post : Homemade Witch Hazel with Tea Tree Oil and Lavender
A/S. : Paco Rabanne Pour Homme

Nice refreshing shave today using the Arlington soap and also washed my hair with their matching shampoo bar, great stuff. I am running down my stock of DE blades as now favouring SE razors, especially the Feather AC. I will decide whether to hang onto my AS-D2 or pass it on, still a very nice comfortable shave.
Hang on to your AS-D2, I let my one go and ended up regretting it a couple of years later and had to buy another one, you may fancy a DE shave sometime down the line. :) P.

Friday's Shave

Razor: Dovo Master
Brush: Shavemac 24mm Synthetic Fan
Soap: Baume.be
Pre: African Black Soap
Aftershave: Aqua Velva
ASB: Bart's Bergamot and Vanilla
EDT: CK Obsession

What a lovely shave the Baume.be is a fantastic cream , it doesn't produce vast volumes of lather but it produces a lovely layer that is both Slick and Adds Cushion, the Dovo Master is really shaving well which pleases me as it is one I reset and honed myself.

Have a great weekend everyone.

Super Shave X Platinum blade
Signature Soaps Vectis

Have had shaves with four of @BrianH soaps and must say, that the performance is consistent between the range.
The soaps perferm very well indeed. And the scents I have tried are nice too.
My ususal soap is MdC and Signature Soaps performs at least on par with MdC - really impressive!

First time for me trying out Zingari Man. Good soap, pleasant lightly scented, nice lather, slick, very good conditioning feel on the face. I like it. The Outlaw razor gets better with every shave. Yaqi brush was great. Not a perfect shave but still, really enjoyable. Have a great weekend.
