SOTD : Saturday 25th August - Friday 31st August 2018

After a thorough clean today, my Gillette Old from my newly acquired Canadian Pocket Edition Set was in line for tonight's shave...

Beautiful 2 pass shave leaving me so so close to BBS. This really is a fine shaver. I agree with what people say about their aggression - you can really feel the blade and even the slightest pressure could cause damage, but good technique will yield excellent results in a swift two passes.

It's a winner in my book. Now to get the whole thing replated

YaqI Chianti 24mm Synthetic
Rockwell 6C R2
PolSilver SI (1)
L'oreal Hydra Sensitive Birch Sap Balm
Creed BoIs Du Portugal

The Rockwell on plate 2 was very mild and hard work on my grey stubble.

Monday 27th August (evening)

Wickham 1912 Cashmere
RazoRock 400
Rockwell 6C R4
PolSilver SI (2)
L'oreal Hydra Sensitive Birch Sap Balm
Dunhill Fresh EdT

More like it on plate 4.
Still smooth but much more efficient.
A little late...

Pre: Sainsburys Tea Tree Cleansing Bar
Razor: Gillette Aristocrat #16 / #22
Blade: NOS Personna Med Prep (1)
Soap: Soapy Science Hanalei
Brush: YaQi Aluminium 24mm Synthetic Horsehair
Post: Brut Sport Style ASL (paired with Nautica Voyage)

I'm still unsure of the manufacture date of these blades which I recently acquired, but if the first shave was anything to go by, then these are going to be very good indeed. Smoother than current US Personna blades, but just as sharp.
