Face lather
Gillette SS Red Tip (1955)
Gillette Silver Blue
Thayer's Rose Petal and Aloe Vera
Pitralon Classic after shave

Fantastic. Two day's growth hewn down effortlessly. The efficient Red Tip pairs well with the GSB; easily the smoothest blade I've experienced in a wee while. Three passes for a BBS finish.

St James of London shaving cream is new to me, but produced a wonderfully rich, slick lather with cushion and face conditioning. I like it and it's unusual fragrance a lot. The brush and razor behaved impeccably, and a smooth, close shave was achieved in no time, topped off with a lovely splash of SV Cosmo. (Thank you Shave Lounge).

31/5/19

Razor - Gillette Ball End Tech
Blade - Gillette Platinum (6)
Soap - Tabac Stick
Brush - Yaqi Rainbow 26mm
Post - Witch Hazel
Balm - Nivea Cooling Kick
AS - Eyup Sabri Tobacco

Superb lather with the Yaqi Rainbow and Tabac today. The Yaqi Rainbow has a very dense knot, a relatively high glue bump that gives the knot a good face feel and it's quite large & splays without being floppy - a very good brush for face lathering a shaving stick. The Rainbow isn't a million miles from another Yaqi brush I own, the Mysterious Blue Fan Tuxedo brush, which also has quite a large and dense knot but with a lower glue bump and can feel a bit floppy at times.

With each additional shave, the Gillette Platinum seems to impress me more and more. A very smooth and forgiving blade but efficient nonetheless. I'm seriously considering shifting a lot of my other stocks of blades to purchase these particular blades.
