SOTD : Saturday 24th - Friday 30th November 2018.

24/11/18

Brush - Yaqi Fan Tuxedo Mysterious Space Handle
Soap - Valobra Soap Stick
Razor - Yaqi OC
Blade - Astra SP (3)
Post - Witch Hazel
Balm - Nivea Cooling
Splash - Superdrug Forest Fresh

I went for a milder shave today as I was a bit worried of reopening up a nick from yesterday's shave which I avoided doing. I'm very impressed with the Yaqi OC, it's supposed to be a clone of the Merkur OC head, and it's very mild but with the right blade it's efficient enough for pleasing results.

Prep: Valobra Glycerlanolina soap, Myrsol Emulsion
Brush: Saponificio Varesino Two-band High Mountain Manchurian White Badger
Soap: Klar Kabinett
Bowl: Little Wren Pottery Custom

Razor: Pils 101NE
Blade: Vintage NOS Gillette Bleue Extra (5)
Post: CRSW Alcohol-Free American Barbershop Moisturising Aftershave
Scent: APR Fougère Bourbon Rose EdP

First use of this bowl from Little Wren Pottery. It worked very well in concert with the Saponificio Varesino brush, with copious amounts of lather generated. Good old Klar Kabinett is such a consistent performer, and the Pils razor glided effortlessly around my face.
Three passes for a DFS+.

Today, a truly Spanish barbershop shave! The razor is a really hard to find "native" old Filomatic.

After yesterday's rough shave around 15 hours ago, the smoothness of the Sticky was called for.
It didn't disappoint, a very nice start to the weekend.
Happy Shaving one and all.

24 November

PreShave: Warm water
Cream: Floris 89
Brush: Kent BK8
Bowl: My recycled cream bowl
Razor: The Sledgehammer (Merkur 39C)
Blade Feather (8)
Post Shave: Alum

Fragrance: Floris 89 edt (not a work day, so I could put some on first thing in the morning! Fragrance is for social, not professional, matters.)

OK, so the saga with the Feather now ends. Today was day 8, twice my usual use of a blade. The shave was smooth—for the most part. And it was for that “most part” reason that I've decided to switch the blade. But now I know the life expectancy of the Feather when it meets my growth.

Greetings,

A nice relaxing Sunday 3 pass + pick ups shave with no errors to report.

Maiden shave with the 3P soap, which was kindly gifted to me by @patw . I have a fondness for almond scented soaps.Cella is a firm favourite of mine..I've been wanting to try the Serbian Palmira almond soap, which users have gave wonderful reviews..A possible Xmas Pressie to myself...Back to the shave...
The Jagen David B30 along with a Weishi 9306-I(both Gillette super speed copies), a Edwin Jagger DE 89 (Kelvin), Kanzy K100, 3, synthetic brushes,150 various blades & 10,shave sticks etc, were all kindly passed on to me by a mate, who ventured into the wonderful world of traditional wet shaving but found it wasn't for him, and reverted back to using cartridges & disposables razors...I did however convince him to keep some of his soaps and brushes, and in return for his generosity i give him all my remaining stock of cartridge & disposable razors that i had left over which i had no use for anymore...I'm lucky to have a good family & friends our moto is 'We all don't give, to receive or for payment', if something is just gathering dust, and not getting used, then pass it on to be appreciated, cared for and used.

The J.D.B30 has a good weight the blade alignment has no issues it performs well,a good chrome finish & gives a good comfortable shave, and works well with every blade i've paired it up with...What more is needed i ask?

Finishing the shave off with a generous dollop of Arko Cool A/S Balm.

Enjoy your sunday, ladies & gentlemen.
