Greetings,

A new very eclectic shave set up to start the weekend..Maiden shave with the Lanolin Wool Fat shaving soap, which was a pre-birthday pressie from my siblings, along with a few practical every day use toiletries deo & body sprays etc.

The Soap verdict ?...A good performing nicely fragranced shaving soap, that contains tallow along this lanolin wool fat which i know my mature skin loves from using MWF/Kent,& Haslinger Schafmilch Sheep Milk shaving soaps.

After few minute warm water bloom, with my damp synthetic brush i created an acceptable lather in a short space of time for the full shave, which didn't dissipate or have a reaction to my skin when applied to my face, wetting the tips of the brush with cold water inbetween each shaving pass, leaving a wonderful post shave feel..What more is required. A wonderful gift. Another great addition to my shaving den.

I now have enough shaving soaps & creams to last me for a long time for this pleasurable traditional wet shaving hobby of mine.

I find the voskhod blades become noticeably smoother on the second outing this i assume is probably down the teflon coating breaking down on the first shave.

It's good to re-visit blades i haven't used for a while, over the next few months i'll be re-aquainting & introducing myself to the vast amount of DE blades in my shaving den that ive yet tried, or infrequently used.

The WS Premium TTO razor, paired together with Voskhod T.C. paired together nicely making a comfortable non-aggressive, yet efficient match resulting in a 3 pass +pick ups near BBS shave with no errors to report.

Finishing to the shave off with a generous dollop of Baylis & Harding ~ Amber & Sandalwood ASB.

My face is feeling super smooth and smelling divine.;)

Stay safe, and enjoy the start of the weekend ladies & gentlemen.

Saturday 23rd May

Soap - Palmolive Stick (in bowl)
Brush - YaqI Tuxedo 24mm Marble Handle
Razor - RazoRock Game Changer .84-P
Blade - RapIra Platinum Lux (3)
Post - Superdrug Forest Fresh ASL
EdT - none - (waiting for Amazon delivery)??

Is Palmolive Stick the best performing, cheapest shave soap ever ? - Probably . . . . .
It's slick, glide is excellent, and protection is top notch too. . . . All it's missing is fancy scent.
Forest Fresh ASL is another low budget, top performing product. Ok, the high alcohol content can sting a little if you've been a little heavy handed with your technique, but with a light touch all I get is a tingle.

Wishing you all a healthy and happy Bank Holiday weekend

What a lovely shave!
1st use of the A&E soap (thanks Chris @Boycie83) and i decided on a face lather, i completed the pick up for about 15 seconds with the Chubby Synth and set about the lathering, The orange scent was apparent as soon as i started to pick up the soap and this exploded when i started the lathering, very fresh and very Orangey (if that is a word) lots of slick & thick Lather in no time, i am really enjoying face lathering at the moment.
Out of the blade dispenser came a Rapira SS, not used these before so loaded the PILS (thanks Paul @Blademonkey) to do the honors.
3 very comfortable passes resulting in an easy BBS finish, Just wonderful, each pass was accompanied by the lovely soap scent and there was plenty in the brush so after the shave i thought - How much? and managed another 2 full face lathers, i need to load less when using the CH2.
I did not bother with the Witch Hazel today and just rinsed off and left the slickness and scent to linger a little while longer while i cleaned the tools up then a pat dry. Big smiles.
I finished off with a rub of my Neroli and Orange Argan Oil then a splash of the 4711, a match made in heaven.
So, as one of our esteemed shavers would say
"I am and Clean, refreshed and ready for the day"
Stay Safe and Enjoy your day.

Are you getting your days mixed up due to lockdown fever?

Pre - Facial cleanser
Cream - TOBS Mr Taylor
Brush - Traditional Shave Co Brush
Razor - MÜHLE R89
Blade - Wilkinson (6)
Post - Alum followed by moisturiser

A nice 2 pass shave with touch-ups as third ATG in a few areas. I'm not going overboard on the bottom of my neck at the moment as it seems a little red in patches. A few rough patches as a result. My neck has always been like that, even with electric and cartridge razors. It's not so bad since I started DE shaving and is never sore.

I have some new products I'm aching to use. However, I've told myself not until I finish one product up. You can see the bottom of the tub of this cream, only it's been like that for the past month. It just never seems to run out.
