This is one of my favourite long handled Injectors for a leisurely Shave. Whilst it feels very mild it is still quite efficient, and when in use it moves so smoothly and is highly manoeuvrable, so that it feels like magic wand clearing whiskers with ease. This is one i like to use on a Sunday when not going out.

And for this rather fine day my theme was 'The Captain and the General salute OSP'

42331

And in respect to OSP and for the wonderful service they have provided, we at the Department of Shaving salute you.

The Office of razors - General Colonial
The Office of blades - Captain Kai
The Office of brushes - Sgt Razorock
The Office of Creams - Brigadier OSP (Vintage and retired from sevices......or possibly Not?)

Come on everyone, bring out your OSP products and show them the shaving world needs their goodies. It is a damn good job I have some 10 tubs of their creams (make that seven as my wife declared ownership of three tubs and there is no argument over the matter) which should see me good until the day Jame's has a rethink. Which should arrive three tubs sooner than originally anticipated.

The General. What can I say that I haven't said before about this joy? An absolute gem of a razor and delivers time after time. As smooth as a baby's bottom and equally so in its use. If you want in and out the bathroom quickly and efficiently then this is the baby.

Not as precise a shave as my Ikon SB but if you don't mind being premature then this is the razor to make things happen quickly. As someone said 'why is it that young men take so long over some things in life?'

Today was a new blade and as expected a few small weepers but nothing to write home about. But oddly enough I am quite happy to write to you lot about it. I do tend to find with SE blades they take a shave or two to settle down and the first shave is always on the 'not quite satisfactory' side of the story. The story being 'Snow White and the Seven Shaves'

OSP Vintage. One of those wonderful scents Jame's and his small company managed to dream up in the knowledge it would perplex and in the knowledge it would perform. It does so on both accounts. Shaving creams to motorcycle polishing creams. Jame's, I understand.

The Razorock brush is by far my chosen lathering machine and boy does it do so. With a handle like this I could mix concrete using this brush. Minimum effort for maximum output. Far better than arsey little handles made for grandchildren to mix bubble bath with.

So a wonderful close shave and as smooth as an eel in jelly. Or as smooth as the jelly if you so prefer. I guess better put as, 'an effing great shave'. Okay minus a few weepers Which I can forgive and reminds me, I must write home.

Be well one and all and may all your shaves be eely smooth.

And to OSP

Brass Colonial on the Bay. Do I, don't I? Here lies my quandary for today.

Da Vinci 293 22mm
Sedef Shavette
Gillette Slim Adjustable on 7 for touch-ups
BIC Chrome Platinum
Barrister & Mann Vesper sample (Excelsior base)
Myrsol Formula C AS sample
The Great British Grooming Co. beard balm as hair pomade
Omerta Putting Green EdT

The Vesper sample is now used up. As already stated, this is a top-notch soap base. Tomorrow follows Wholly Kaw's Padre Leone sample.

Buying samples is a very effective way to save a good amount of cash. And I bought them all, every soap and cream of distinction is in my possession. As the pleasant anticipation is the greatest delight, it feels really good when a sample is used up, irrespective of its quality.

Soap - Tabac
Brush - Omega 80265
Razor - Yaqi Cobbed
Blade - Lord Classic SS
Post - Witch Hazel/Nivea Replenishing Balm
AS - Benjamin's Bay Rum

Decided to give the Yaqi Cobbed another go after a somewhat disappointing shave yesterday, and today's results were a touch more pleasing. The razor is still more aggressive than I am used to and my foray into razors of such a nature will possibly will limited to this particular model.

Moss Anniversary Slate scuttle
Rooney 1/1 Faux Horn Finest (22/45)
Crabtree & Evelyn Lavender shaving soap (vintage)
Paradigm II Titanium/UFO Little Titan
Polsilver Super Iridium (8)
Houbigant Yama aftershave (vintage)

The Paradigm and UFO are a great lightweight combination. The soap made very good lather, but I don't really like it in the old Acqua di Parma jar. It's a mug-size puck, so I'll probably have to grate it into a wooden bowl.

Pre: King of shaves shaving oil
Brush: Semogue 620
Soap: OSP Spice road
Blade: Feather HS (6)
Razor: Razorock Game Changer
Post shave: Alum block and homemade tea tree astringent (trial 20ml), cold water splash
Balm: Gucci aftershave Balm
Aftershave: Ralph Lauren Safari.

Great shave tonight, not sure if shaving oil helped (1st time used since I used a straight razor), I used my new lather bowl from Giles with the OSP Spice road soap, a nice smell but had to work with the new brush to get it going, result, plenty of spice scented lather, easily enough for 2plus passes.
I love this game changer, I like the weight of it, does not struggle at all just glides over my face, it's been getting better all week, as has the feather blade. 6 shaves in and still going strong.
I am more confident and learning my face and hair growth direction.
A gentle 1.5 pass WTG & ATG tidy up. I just let the razor do the work. Super BBS skin and 1 very happy chap.
Nothing at all from Alum block. A bit balm and a splash of aftershave and I feel great.
Bring on the 6S for next week. Fingers crossed all goes well.
I will then have a 3 x razor rotation - R89 Grande, the Game Changer & the 6S, using same type blade (Astra SP) in each of the razor. It's all go.
Have a great evening all.

Pre-shave:- Warm rinse / Proraso Green pre-shave cream
Brush:- Stirling Soap Co. Finest Badger
Soap/Cream:- Dapper Dragon Kringle soap
Razor/Blade:- Rockwell 6c R3 / Gillette 7 o'clock Green Super Stainless
Post-shave:- Thayers Cucumber / Epsilon Blue aftershave / Bart's Balm Peppermint aftershave lotion

A fantastic shave this evening. Really cool and fresh. My skin is still tingling with that cool as ice feeling.

Another razor tonight with my faithful Rockwell 6c getting a run out and living up to its reputation. Paired with a 7 o'clock Green blade it gives me such a smooth and easy shave.

I also used the Dapper Dragon Kringle soap which was part of a selection I bought from the BST. It was it's first use and gave a great lather. Really smooth and good slickness. It was a really cold feeling as I brushed it into my face, suppose I should've guessed that from its name?!? There's a nice scent from the soap, kind of coconut and almond. Quite Christmassy I suppose but nice.

A straightforward 3 pass shave with a BBS finish. I really took my time tonight and only had really short strokes. I could hear the blade working overtime but each pass was removing all the roughness.

Finishing off with a splash of Epsilon Blue for that fresh cold feeling then topping it off with Bart's Peppermint aftershave lotion. Sublime.

A great shave with my face still ice cold!

Have a great evening folks! [emoji1303]
