Another fantastic lather from the Signature soap. This time with the Eboracum, when starting out on my Traditional shaving journey i tried a peppermint scented soap and was not too fussed about it. I am now growing to it and it pairs with the Proraso Green post shave balm and splash quite well, it could be that over the last year i have started to enjoy a menthol shave.
With the Signature soap scent it could be the Cedarwood that cuts the sweetness so its not like rubbing your face with a candy rock stick.
Again only 2 passes today & as a trial no ATG shaving, I have a DFS+ finish from WTG and XTG, most importantly, my face is comfortable and no indication from the Alum block.
7 shaves from an Astra SP, Granted they have only been 2 pass shaves but that is impressive. It has been retired now.
I could not use the Blackbird as a daily shaver, saying that it will be getting an outing now and again as i really like the look of it, very handsome. I do not think i will be using the OC plate again, it was a pass too far. I also find "The Dart" a great looker but i still ponder if i will ever tame it with confidence.
Enjoy your Day All

Yaqi Metal Timberwolf - Signature Soaps Eboracum - The Leaf Razor (3 blade option) - Al-Rehab Dakar EDP

A very interesting deviation from the norm today. I was always intrigued by the Leaf but had no desire to bear the cost of importing it from the US. Last week I discovered it for sale in the UK and jumped at the opportunity. Not a seductive razor.....more wham bam thank you ma'am. It was all over before I got properly started!
2 passes for a 'Face Feeler'

27/2/20

Razor - Fat Handle Tech
Blade - Gillette 7 O'Clock Super Platinum India (16)
Brush - Yaqi Rainbow/Faux Horse
Soap - MWF
Post - Witch Hazel/Dapper Dan Menthol & Eucalyptus Balm
AS - Superdrug Forest Fresh

I'd not used MWF for a while and managed to get a really great lather with it today and the blade seemed to glide across my face for the 3.5 passes.

Rooney 1/3 Ebony Finest (26/52)
Eufros Tobacco shaving soap (tallow)
Paradigm 17-4
Gillette Platinum 'Swede' (2)
Cigar Aficionado aftershave

A great shave. This was my first use of the Paradigm 17-4. It was extraordinarily smooth, giving me a BBS shave with little effort and virtually no blade feel. At 100g, it does feel quite heavy in my hand. I'll use the Titanium 2 again tomorrow, and then the 17-4 once again the next day, to compare them.

Thur 27th Feb.

Cyril Salter/ MS. ED2band
Arran Aromatics Bay Citrus
Occams Enoch
Feather Proguard [ 1 ]
Massimo Dutti A/S lotion

I decided on a change of blade in the Enoch, as with the Proline I found myself rushing the Shave, thus affecting the quality of finish. Today the shave was very smooth and comfortable, and though taking longer I was pleased by the finish quality.

Great shaves with the Blackbird - very smooth, efficient but not overly so; 2 passes and I'm just about BBS without chasing a BBS. Of late have had the Blackbird loaded with a GSB or a Supermax Super Platinum DE. The Supermax thus far is about my favourite blade in the Blackbird; I thought the Astra would be supreme - good but not great for me in this razor; however, early days only one shave in with the Astra.

Ordered some Speick cream and aftershave lotion online; first tried Speick when on holiday in Berlin - loved the stuff; great lather and felt good on the skin - also appeared to rid me of some acne (at the time). Glad to be shaving with this again, I may try and get a regular stock :)

2 passes and a DFS+/BBS- finish, no issues to report.

All the best,

Chris
