Greetings,

Face & Head Shave.

A new shave set up to start the weekend of which i'm making a Soap sample week ,which where all kindly past on to me by various people...Starting off with the LPL Fougēre soap which is a french 100% vegan soap that was kindly past on to me by a TSR fellow member I have to be to honest and state every shave i've had with this vegan soap sample has been absolutely amazing good. I only use a small amount but is enough for the full shave without going back to the sample tub to add more, the post shave feel is fantastic, as is the slickness, protection & fragrance, not 'full on' in your face, but a nice lingering scent.

I've had this fantastic soap on my buy list for a long time now,but having a such a vast amount of shaving soaps and creams to contend with,i wouldn't be able to use it up and give it the attention this superb soap rightly deserves.

A very enjoyable 3 pass + pick ups silky smooth face & head shave with no errors to report.

Finishing to the shave off with a few generous dollop of L'0real ~ Soothing Birch Sap PSB..

My face & precious swede are both feeling super smooth and smelling devine.;)

Enjoy the start of the weekend ladies & gentlemen.

Mix it altogether and one exceptionally close shave with wow factor. Very smooth, very happy and very fragranced. Quick smell of the armpits. Super, and away I go.

Sat 22nd Feb.

RazoRock Syn. 24mm
P & B Spitfire
Occams Enoch
Schick Proline [ 1 ]
P & B Spitfire A/S Splash

A change of blade in the Enoch today, and loading this time was went well. I first used this Razor with a Proguard blade and find it to be more aggressive with the Proline but not dramatically so. The Shave was completed without any problems, and now I have got used to the cutting angle the quality of overall finish was very good. I find this to work better for me than the King Cobra which I sold on to buy this and the Hiram Commander.

Pre-shave: Cold Derbyshire Tap Water, Proraso White Pre Shave Cream
Brush: Razorock Bruce Synthetic
Cream: Proraso White Cream
Razor: Merkur Progress. Set to 3. Then DE89.
Blade: Gillette 7 O'clock Yellow (1)
Post/After-shave: Shower, Cold Water Splash, Floid Black, Trumpers Lime Skin Food (sample)

The gillette yellow used to be my favourite, but I now can't get a decent shave whatsoever. Very patchy today and I had to keep going over the same area over and over again. Even ended up finishing off with the DE89 which just happened to be within reach.

Hoping the postman brings my Nacet and GSB blades today, itching to try them.

Today is my best friends' Birthday and he's having a party, so today I'll have a nice three pass B.B.S. shave.
Today the humidity is back, so a softer brush feels a bit more comfortable, and a plain alcohol splash is all (that's) needed.
Pre shave oil - Pinaud Clubman
Scuttle - Q shave
Soap - Pinaud Clubman tube lather
Brush - Simpson Captain 2 in best
DE razor - Merkur 1904 open comb
Blade - Treet carbon steel
Witch hazel - T.N. Dickinson's
Aftershave - Pinaud Clubman musk
Talcum Powder - Pinaud Clubman talc

22/2/2020

Soap - Palmolive Stick
Brush - Omega 11819
Razor - Fat Handle Tech
Blade - Gillette 7 Black (12)
Post - Witch Hazel
Balm - Nivea Cooling
AS - Superdrug Forest Fresh

I've been continuing using sloppier/more hydrated lathers than I usually would and I'm noticing I'm getting a slightly better shave than when I'd have a thicker lather with more cushion.
