Soap Arko Stick
Brush Yaqi 28mm Synthetic
Razor Gillette British RFB #88
Blade Tatra Platinum 4th (Wizamet Iridium 7th)
Post & Aftershave
Ice Water + Special Thayers Mix
Hyaluronic + Polo EDT
Super lather from Arko. Thick creamy and slick. Scent is unique and I think is an acquired taste/smell...hahaha
Shave with razor paired with Tatra felt a lot of tugging and skipping for 1st WTG pass. Realized something wrong with the blade (was used on a travel trip, perhaps the edge was damaged) so immediately stop and replaced with nearest available blade which was the Wizamet on 7th use. Whoooaaa...can feel the difference as night and day, soooo much smoother and soooo much more comfortable. Very efficiently cut through all the stubbles without skipping nor tugging. 3+1 multiple direction passes with BBS results. 3 weepers because tried a new angle. All weepers stopped by icy water rinse then Thayers followed by Hyaluronic and EDT. Good shave once the blade was replaced. Rating 9/10

shower
cold water
Yaqi Sagrada Familia + Tcheon Fung Sing Crema Purissima
DLC-YAQI (scalloped closed comb) + Gillette Silver Blue
cold water rinse
generic aloe vera gel

First time with the Yaqi - initial impression was it's more aggressive than an EJ89 (and much more than a Merkur Classic) but less so than a Futur on the lowest setting. Quite heavy in the hand.

23/8/20

Brush - Omega 10075 (22mm/48mm)
Soap - Arko Puck
Razor - Old Type
Blade - Gillette Nacet (4)
Post - Witch Hazel
Splash - Superdrug Forest Fresh

Nice lather today with the Omega & Arko, but I'm coming to appreciate the Omega is a nice scrubby little brute but I prefer my boars with a slightly taller loft. Another good shave with the OT & Nacet.

Have a good Sunday gents.

Cyril Salter /MS. Ed2band
Cyril Salter Solid soap
Occams- Enoch
Schick Proline [ 1 ]
Pitralon Polar A/S Lotion

I think that the Occams Enoch I used today may appeal to more folk than the rather hefty Hiram Commander. Both provide good Shaves, but I feel that fitted with a plate 2 The Hiram just wins in the ease of getting the closest finish.

Sandalwood Sunday

Pre - Shower / Face wash
Soap - TOBS Sandalwood
Brush - ESC Big Jock Badger (30mm)
Razor - Gillette Slim N2 (1968)
Blade - Blue Gillette Extra M2 (probably 1942 and not 1967)
Post - Saponificio Varesino - Desert Vetiver (sample)

I decided to try using an old stock gillette blue I had in my Gillette Slim. I noticed the date codes were only one letter apart, probably not one year. I wasn't expecting this to be great as the last time I used one of these blades it was horrendous. Probably due to the razor in hindsight. This was a nice smooth shave, near BBS. Very happy. Still not sure If I'll keep the razor, or trade sell it for an ESC Outlaw which appeals to me.

I think the blade is a very old Carbon Steel blade, and I've read of many who have found old CS blades to be near enough unusable.

New Forest Tubby 1 Silvertip - SV Desert Vetiver - Broman SE/Permasharp - Vetiver EDT by Guerlain

Post night shift....I needed a treat. The SV was so slick I had to check the razor to find out if it was actually cutting anything. The Broman is mild and requires some pressure.
3 passes for a very good shave indeed....and I feel properly pampered :)

No pictures today but if a shave was perfect, this was it....

Head: Nanny's French Lavender, 24mm AP Shave Co tuxedo in a Semogue handle, Leaf razor

Face: Signature Soaps Capra, 24mm AP Shave Co cashmere in a Shavemac barbershop ivory handle, Rex Ambassador, Gillette Stainless Red.

Two passes with the Leaf and the head was BBS and the @BrianH Capra is IMHO as good if not better than soaps that cost double the money - post shave, I didn't need any after a face wash with soap left in the brush....
