Head SOTD

Soap: Dead Sea Shave - Maelstrom

Brush: 1950's Gillette Extra Large Pure Bristle

Razor: 1940s Fat Handle Tech with Gillette Nacet blade

Aftershave: Davidoff Cool Water

I tried all 3 Dead Sea Shave soaps and this one is my favourite, fresh, cool and pepperminty with a tiny bit of lavender. I went through my den to find a good matching aftershave and guess what, Cool Water is almost perfect, try it!

Gillette brush on its third use and I must say it's slowly becoming a great little lather blaster. I cant believe the knot is over a half century old boar! Fat handle Tech with Gillette Nacet blade to complement the brush, overall great shave and I highly recommend Maelstrom soap, very nice scent and great performance.

2 Full passes WTG & ATG today with some buffing, i have found not to go for a full 3rd pass with the GC-OC and i am left with a comfortable finish..
The Tabac products are quickly becoming a favourite, it all just works. The Alpha Ti working really well.
I am BBS with a Soft & Comfortable face feeling, smelling, well, very Tabac
The downer of today is i have cracked my Giles Lather Bowl -:cry:
Have a great day All

Sorry to hear about you lather bowl, what a downer. Fortunately there are some great bowls and scuttles out there, hope you get another to replace it.

I think Tabac is incredible quality full stop, even more so when you think what great value it is. I quite like the scent, it's not my favourite but yes I like it. I had the full monty Tabac the other day, deodorant, soap and aftershave although when I got to work my work colleague kept sniffing and said that there was a smell of mothballs around the place. I had a bit of a complex because I have a feeling it may have been the Tabac. ☹️

24/9/19

Soap - Proraso Green
Brush - Yaqi Plissoft
Razor - Souplex Bakelite
Blade - Lord Chrome (1)
Post - Witch Hazel
AS - Benjamins Bay Rum Mentholated

I'd not used a Lord Chrome for a while, and I can understand why. It's not the sharpest blade and not very smooth at the same time. I really want to like Lord blades but they always seem to be a disappointment and today's shave wasn't the best.

Today's Shave

Finally Settled in my New House and all my Shave Kit is unpacked. The Schick Krona has done a splendid job for the last week but nice to have something different.

Preshave: Heno de Pravia
Soap: Martin De Candre - Original
Razor: Muhle Rocca
Brush: Mervyn Cadman 30mm Synthetic
Blade: Lab Blue
Splash: Star Noir
Balm: Barts Grapefruit and Pink Pepper
EDT: Copycat VK

About 3 months ago I picked up a Rocca in a trade and it is a nice razor, but it had a distinct smile in the blade, which for me made it a little rough, hats of to Muhle I contacted them and despite the fact I am not the original owner they offered straight away to send me a replacement razor head, only trouble was they were out of stock. Anyway it finally arrived and they even shipped it to Ireland for me. (Ikon and Razorock could learn a lot from them about standing behind your product). The new head is a better design than the original and I really enjoyed the razor today, looking forward to getting to know it this week more.

The other debut for me today was the lovely Cadman Brush that I bought on the here , what a wonderful brush ! thank you @kamisori

Tuesday SOTD

La Toja Stick
YaqI Chianti 24mm Synthetic
RazoRock Game Changer .84-p
Gillette Platinum (1)
Blue Stratos Aftershave

Tonight's shave helped to relieve some stress . . . . . .
Today I received an email from Tui to say that my holiday had been cancelled because the flights were operated by Thomas Cook. (Assurance of full refund).
After spending over half an hour on the phone on hold, forking out another £1500 on another holiday, and getting locked out of my online banking I was ready to blow my top !!

The shave was smooth, and the La Toja lather as slick as ever.
Three days growth removed, each stroke helped calm my nerves

Happy shaves one and all
