Greetings,

Another relaxing Williams Uber/Superlather sunday shave...recently i've been using blades, that i've infrequently used.I'm carrying on with the Treet Platinum Super stainless blade, like it's sibling the 7 Days Platinum, the characteristics of them are very similar to one another in sharpness which can be a little rough on the first pass, but after that they mellow out providing a very efficient smooth shave.... All the Treet blades i've used recently i haven't had any issues with intermittent dulling quality problems...A great indian/pakistani made razor & blade duo.

I had all intentional purposes to use my new turkish unbranded horsehair brush which was gifted to me last week, but used the wilkinson boar instead as i've yet to unpack my travel bag from last week.

A comfortable 3 pass + pick ups silky smooth sunday shave with no errors to report.

Finishing the shave off with a generous dollop of Cien ~ Aloe Vera Body Lotion.

My face is feeling smooth & smelling devine.;)

Enjoy your Sunday Ladies & Gentlemen.

Pre: Pears Transparent Original
Brush: Alpha Titanium Outlaw G4
Soap: MWF
Razor: Occam Classic V1 plate #1
Blade: Kai Captain Pink (8)
Post shave: Alum Block, cold water splash, Homemade Astringent with added oils

Aftershave: CK One

Occ,AT,MWF (1).JPG

A welcome return for the Occam's V1, i remembered i changed the plate to #1 for a trial although it was loaded with a Kai Pink (i was going to put in a new Feather PB but forgot, realising during the 1st pass).
The brush and soap working well on today's face lather. Plenty of soap in the brush - just as well.
3 full passes and some buffing to get the required result, not the fault of the razor or the blade, in fact, proving just how mild this razor can go, what a versatile tool it is. A little extra work but wow, really comfortable. Too mild for me though, a new FPB fitted for the next outing.
A nice post shave routine leaving me soft and supple, the CK one splash smelling really nice.
So i am BBS, clean and fresh and ready to visit the Mothership.
Have a great Sunday All.

Prep: Valobra Glycerlanolina soap, Myrsol Emulsion
Brush: Paladin Lotus Select Badger
Soap: Scottish Fine Soaps Classic
Razor: Blackland Blackbird
Blade: NOS Super Iridium BN-84 (1)
Post: Thursday Plantation Tea Tree & Witch Hazel, Musgo Real Aftershave Balm
Scent: Floris No 89

A wonderful shave this evening. I spotted the Scottish Fine Soaps puck/dish at a local Pharmacy yesterday at a ridiculously cheap price.
I'd heard good things about their bath soap, so thought I'd give it a go. As well as the ceramic dish, the package came in a beautiful presentation box more akin to housing an expensive watch. Well done, Scotland!
The soap is vegetable-based, with the fats being a blend of palm and coconut. The scent is what I would describe as fresh linen, with maybe a hint of sandalwood. Low strength and very pleasant. It lathered easily and produced a large volume of lather for the load. Once hydrated, it was slick and performed very well. Upon the completion of each shave, I cover my face with remnant lather for further skin conditioning as I clean up my razor and brush. I also use this as a test of the soap for skin sensitivity; this is where some lesser soaps can come unstuck via minor irritation. None whatsoever with this soap - it felt great on my freshly shaved skin for the half minute contact time. Post shave was also very nice. The one area that could be improved is residual slickness - not as good as those on my top shelf. However, on balance, a very good soap indeed.

I was also delighted with my first use of a Super Iridium BN-84. Very sharp yet smooth; an excellent match for the mid-aggressive Blackbird. Three passes, and I am absolutely BBS and grinning :D.
