Pre-Shave: Warm to hot water, most from the boiled kettle some from the tap
Cream: GFT Eucris
Brush: Kent BK8
Bowl: My recycled T&H cream bowl
Razor: The Sledgehammer (Merkur 39C)
Blade Ladas Super Stainless (1)
Post Shave: Alum

Fragrance: GFT Eucris

A shave with the Ladas SS blade thanks to Digimonkey's generous PIF. The blade was quite rough, and was far from comfortable. I'll use it again tomorrow provide another review tomorrow for shave 2 (sometimes blades, like wine, improve with age). I'll add observations of how the week's shaving went next Saturday in my Saturday SOTD report.

Last week's blade was a Sputnik (again part of the PIF). It lasted a full 7 days This is not a small point for me, as the Astras I normally use last (and give a good shave) for the full week. The Sputnik performed equally as well, if not better. But that may be due to confirmation bias, as I've heard good things about them.

Have a good weekend folks, and stay healthy.

Greetings,

A relaxing sunday morning shave..

I've kept to my word and carried on adding shaving assortments to my SOTD set ups that i've hardly gave any attention for a long time. The yintal /weishi 9036-I TTO is a great non-agressive razor, like my other clone razors i have in my den, with the right blade choice it makes this chinese princess a smooth efficient razor.

A enjoyable 3 pass + pick ups silky smooth shave with no errors to report

Finishing the shave off with a generous dollop of L'0REAL ~ Barber Club Reinforcing ASB.

My face is feeling silky smooth & smelling devine. ;)

Enjoy your Sunday, and stay safe Ladies & Gentlemen.

Saturday 21st March

Signature Soaps CoIra
YaqI Chianti 24mm Synthetic
Merkur Progress 500
Gillette Nacet (3)
Lynx Dark Temptation Aftershave

My first use of the Progress and I'm impressed. There's something about Merkur two piece razors that sets them apart from other brands that I just can't put my finger on. The blade is held firmly, which can be felt with every stroke.
I can't say what setting I had it on. .because my eyesight isn't great without my glasses on, but it was assuredly comfortable and smooth throughout the shave.
@BrianH Signature Soap provided all that was required to ensure this maiden shave went as well as it did.
Finished with Lynx Dark Temptation Aftershave - another example of a good budget aftershave

Please, do take care of yourselves and your loved ones at this very worrying time

An enjoyable Sunday Morning shave.
Everything working as it should, 3 passes for a BBS and comfortable finish.
Sadly today on Mothers day i will not be Visiting my Mam as we are worried about passing anything on.
As a family we have decided only 1 visit a day and only 2 of my sisters will make most of these as the rest of us are still going to work, therefore, today will only be a Phone call chat, it not nice but has to be done.
Enjoy your Sunday All and stay safe.
