Above The Tie S2
Gillette Silver Blue (2)
Romera Manchurian
Eufros GEA
Myrsol Emulsion

A wonderful shave. Had the house to myself so no distractions.

The Eufros soaps are right up there as the best soaps I've tried. Everything you want from a soap is there, slickness, protection and post shave are unparalleled IMHO.

The S2 or 'old faithful' as I like to call her worked a treat with the GSB. Smooth as butter and very efficient. Size and balance is spot on too.

Finished off with the Myrosol Emulsion. A lovely cooling and moisturising finish to a excellent shave.

Enjoy what's left of the weekend gents.
Cheers
Rob

I'll leave you with Thom and the boys summarise my shave in music form...

Rob, I think Thom could do with a good shave! Just been playing the reissue of OK Computer myself. Love the previously unreleased session tracks & b-sides, especially Lift & Lull back to back. Something very nice and relaxing about shaving in an otherwise empty house. Got the place to myself til Thurs, a rarity!

Sunday 22nd July PM

5th DE shave

Prep: Shower, Nivea Sensitive Face Wash then Nuage shave oil
Cream: ES Natural
Brush: ES Medium Jock synthetic
Razor: Merkur 34c
Blade: Personna (2)
Post: Cold rinse, Nivea Sensitive Post Shave balm and Agua de Colonia Concentrada Lotion

Not as good today. 5 passes then lots of touch ups from various angles. I was expecting a fair bit of razor burn but was sweating profusely after a hot shower. The sweat along with the ES lather provided lots of lubrication!

Nivea and Agua de Colonia Concentrada Body Lotion produced a subtle lemon scent.

Still enjoyed the “me time”!

Yeah Thom is a scruffy bugger but I won't hold that against him.
I haven't bought the reissue yet. I've loved the extra tracks I've heard so far. That can't do no wrong.

Enjoy your "me time".

Just when I thought I knew how to shave!! :)

Prep ~ Valbora Glicerlanolina Soap, Shower
Razor ~ Kropp 8/8ths
Soap ~ Stirling Sheep ( mutton tallow)
Brush ~ SOC Taj Badger & Boar
Post ~ Thayers / Jojoba oil
Scent ~ Xerjoff - 1861 Renaissnce Edp

Everyone needs a lesson once in a while and today was my turn.
I was quite happy with how my straight shaving was going despite my shoulder problems and not being as mobile with them because of this.
I was doing fine with both my western straights and my Kamisori, I was getting good shaves.
Today I made a mistake, one lapse in concentration and I got a bleeder, lucky for me I had my Hemo stop stick to hand and after a short while i stopped the blood loss.
Now I have a 3/4 inch cut to my right chin, hopefully it won't scar!
It was my clean up pass as well , up untill then I was doing well and had been a good shave.
It was not my first and I'm sure it won't be my last but what it has taught me is not to get gung ho or to let my concentration wander while shaving.
Up untill then I was about 45 seconds away from finnishing a good shave.
As soon as the cut has healed I will get back in the saddle and remember this lesson. :) P

Have yourselves a great day people .....P :)

Olive Oil Soap
Vitos Pre Shave Cream and Soap Bloom
Cyril R Salter Tallow Soap
Zenith EuroAL Boar Brush
Baili 'Tech' with a 7 O'Clock Yellow
Dickinson's Witch Hazel
Aloe Vera Gel
Bronnley English Fern
Worth pour Homme EDT

Everything 'just came together' for a perfect shave. Three passes and I am BBS:D

An earlier start today as this week is the Royal Welsh Show which turns our roads into something resembling the M25.....but with nicer scenery!

Prep: Valobra Glycerlanolina soap, Myrsol Emulsion
Brush: Paladin Lotus Select Badger
Soap: Eufros Shave Nook LE 2018
Razor: Merkur Futur (2)
Blade: NOS Schick Plus Platinum (2)
Post: Thayers Cucumber Witch Hazel / Myrsol Emulsion
Scent: Caron Le 3' Homme EdT

Another wonderful shave. The Eufros soap was most impressive - very creamy, slick lather and a very natural herbaceous scent, balanced with dry woods.
Not often I am BBS after three passes without any buffing, but that I am. :D
Off for a few pre-match pints before watching Chelsea at Optus Stadium.
