Today I had a new experience, using a Badger Brush for the first time , as previously I used Boars, a mixed and more
latterly Synthetics. This was kindly gifted to me by James @Acer89 , a bit of a Brush Guru who thought I needed a new
experience.
I had thought my Boars had soft tips, but using this brush was feather like. I shall use my well tested brushes, and keep this one for Special Occassion Shaves, and Relaxed Sunday Morning Shaves. I got the Brush a bit too wet so the
Lather was a bit gloopy, but still the Shave was smooth and comfortable, with good all round finish.I think another outing is warranted to see if I can get the Lather consistency right - well the brush has dried out nicely.

Tried a Rapira blade this evening with R3 plate on the Rockwell 6c. A very close shave though my skin seems a bit sensitive post shave. I slapped on the Nivea 2 Phase and got a goooood burn then followed it with Barts Balm.

Feeling very fresh and smooth though a tad warm (if that makes sense).

BBS and smiling.

Have a great evening folks! [emoji106][emoji2532]

While shaving it occurred to me that I have enjoyed recent shaves with my Ikon 102 more than my 6C - something I could never had predicted as the 6C has been my favourite razor for well over a year.
The Rockwell is very smooth, but for me the Ikon is a little more so - especially when loaded with a Silver Blue.

From a few days ago:

Razor: ATT S2 Slant Atlas - on loan (thanks Rob @Blackmass)
Blade: Gillette Silver Blue
Cream: T&H West Indian Lime
Bowl: Executive Shaving Handmade
Brush: Muhle STF 23mm
Post: Barts Balm Lime Oil ASB

First time this week using a slant. It feels less weird than it looks when you hold it and load the blade. Certainly shaves well, slight adjustment needed here & there. Generally a great shave though felt some irritation between lip & nose, an area that doesn't normally bother me. No weepers on lower cheeks though which can be an issue for me. As with the ATT M2, I feel that the ATT OC teeth are a little sharper / less comfy on the skin than the iKon ones and a return to my iKon today confirmed this to me. A good close shave though and I felt smooth for longer than with the DE89 that I'd used the shave before. Tried 3 ATT handles now and the Atlas just feels too short for me though it looks great. That said, I'm happy with my iKon OSS & Bulldog handles anyway.

Oh and I really like the Muhle STF brush. It seems to take a little more work and need more water than the other synths I use, but the resulting lather is superb 3FF8B0B8-898E-4690-9C8D-D28EF026A1E3.jpeg

Morrisons ~ Aloe Moisture Lotion.

Greetings,

Another comfortable 3 pass + pick ups near BBS shave with no errors to report.

The Ladas blade has performed wonderfully all week, and i could possibly use it for another shave, but i won't if i can get 4 error-free comfortable shaves from 1 blade then i can't ask for anymore.

The Chinese horsehair is such a excellent brush, really smooth with a good amount of backbone.

Finishing the shave off with a generous dollop of Morrisons ~ Aloe Moisture Lotion.

My face is feeling smooth, & smelling devine.;)
