SOTD : Saturday 20th - Friday 26th July

Tuesday 23rd July

Alvarez Gomez BarberIa
Zenith Synthetic
Timeless 0.68 Scalloped
Gillette Silver Blue (1)
Myrsol LImon

Cold water shave cooled me down for a while, but the evening heat soon took effect.

A couple of weeks ago i made the mistake of lending my son all of my citrus scented soaps -they're 140 + miles away, and I can't wait to get them back !

Wed 24th July

Vulfix 404 -mixed "The Grosvenor"
Williams Mug Soap
ER 1924 & Windrose handle
Gem S/S [ 1 ]
Williams Aqua Velva A/S Lotion

I learnt yesterday that for me there is no point in pushing Gem blades past 6 outings. For todays shave I used a fresh blade as they are cheap enough, I probably have enough to last my lifetime away.
The 1924 with the non stock handle is very nice to use, and besides the Shave being smooth and comfortable, the quality of the all round finish was very good

Stirling Orange Chilli
Zenith B03-A26
Pils 101NE
Personna Med Prep
Humphreys Witch Hazel
Atelier Cologne Orange Sanguine

The traditional shaving community is great isn't it? Within 10 minutes of posting a question about Personna blades I had offers from Paul (@Blademonkey) and Russell (@RussellR5555) to send me some Med Preps and Lab Blues respectively. Thank you gents. First up was a Med Prep and it worked brilliantly with the Pils. A perfect match. Sublimely smooth and very efficient. I best get an order in for these blades while I can.
Have a good day chaps, and keep cool if you can.

A quick BIC.

Vitos Red ~ Mondial Boar ~ BIC 2 ~ ADP Cream

Couple of things: Seller is sending a replacement Mondial as this one arrived with defects, used it anyway as they don't want it back... I may have poopooed it yesterday in my disappointment but in use it's actually very good, knot is Zenith soft but with greater backbone. Also thought i'd try ADP "body cream" as an aftershave balm, I compared the ingredients online and they are mostly the same, happy to report it works very well indeed and has a lovely light scent... Worth looking on eBay etc as you can pick up a 75ml tube for around a fiver.

24/7/19

Soap - Proraso Green
Brush - Omega 80265
Razor - Wilkinson Sword Classic
Blade - Gillette 7OC Black (13)
Post - Witch Hazel
AS - Benjamins Bay Rum Mentholated

Good lather with the 80265 & PG today, one of the better lathers I've got with using the soap with a boar brush. I probably loaded a bit too much soap to begin with and the lather was a little heavier than I usually like, but it had a great amount of cushion though.

The blade seemed to find new life in the Wilko Razor, produced great results.
