D R Harris Arlington is my favourite "posh" shaving cream so it seemed appropriate to use the Aristocrat today. Most days I'm fine with a DFS+ but having time today I achieved BBS. Happy days! :D

Easter Sunday 21st April
Cadman Custom Synth - Arran Lochranza - General Brass w/West Coast Shaving Handle - Schick Proline P #10 - Alum - Superdrug Sierran Breeze A/S - Dove Nourishing Cream

Description of the bowl from Arran:
“Modelled on a pebble from Whiting Bay, the Arran Shave Stone is a traditional shave bowl with an island twist.”
It was the look that attracted me and it's made from resin. What I didn't expect was the weight of the bowl, 500g excluding the soap. Definitely not to be dropped on anything delicate. The soap was was a pleasant surprise. Lathering was really easy and long lasting. With excellent lasting slickness (my favourite attribute). The scent was fresh, citrus, floral and spicy with Patchouli lingering throughout. Very happy indeed.

Enjoy the rest of this good weather. I will !!!
Really pleased you liked it.......I would have been gutted if you had considered it a disaster!

Sunday

P&B Star Noir
RazoRock BC Silvertip 24mm synth
Face lather
Valet Autostrop VC3
Feather HS-10
Thayer's Rose Petal and Aloe Vera
Fine Snake Bite
Givenchy Vetyver

This has only been the second time I've used the VC3. The first time gave me a terrible shave. Today, whether it was improved technique; less rush or even coincidence, it went really well. Despite it looking like a relic from a Medici torture chamber, it's surprisingly smooth (or ‘mild', if you will).

Three passes and a bit buffing. All's well. Tingling from the Snake Bite and smelling good from the Givenchy Vetyver. Second only to the Guerlain, imo.

Have a great day, Folks.

Soap - 3P
Brush - Yaqi Plissoft Barbershop
Razor - Fat Handle Tech
Blade - Gillette Silver Blue
Post - Witch Hazel
Balm - Nivea Cooling
AS - Superdrug Sierra Breeze

It'd been a while since I last used 3P and it really is a superb croap, well it used to be a croap but I left it in a container without a lid (the lid is used to hold another sample) and it dried out to have the consistency of a hard soap. Nonetheless a small amount goes a very long way and I was surprised how little loading created the amount of lather that it did, the Yaqi synth is a very efficient brush as well.

A great combination of the GSB blade into the Fat Handle Tech. I've not owned the razor but it's quickly becoming my go to razor, the balance of the handle coupled with the head make it a delight to use.

Chose not to allow the recent disappointment with my AC shave to allow fear to grow of the Feather Professional blade. This morning my shave featured the Razorock Black Hawk and a wonderfully lubricating lather from my Saponificio Varesino soap. The Feather blade is still very sharp and produced a really close if a little hesitant shave with no damage done. I am still a little uncertain about using these blades at all.
I just started using that Soap myself, I have really been enjoying it.

A nice Sunday shave, the almond cream had a nice scent to it--third time I've used it, and I'm getting to quite like it.

Have a good remainder of the Bank Holiday weekend.
