SOTD: Saturday 20th April - Friday 26 th

24/04/19

Brush - dscosmetics 26mm silvertip
Pre - Proraso Sandalwood
Razor - 1950 (or 48/49?) Gillette Superspeed
Blade - GSB (2)
Soap - DR Harris Lavender
ASB - Proraso Blue
Bowl - Giles Shaving Co.

First use of the Superspeed. This razor is definitely at the other end of the efficiency spectrum when compared to the R41. Very easy to shave with and the end result is more than acceptable but I'm still in awe of the finish I got when using the R41. I'm also undecided on the DR Harris soap. I'll give it another run with the Superspeed on Friday. Brilliant slickness on the first pass but faded afterwards.

Barber shop theme again tonight.

The TOBS cream performed well with that sweet top note scent. Really fresh.

Incident free 3 pass shave with BBS result. The Gillette Green blade in the Rockwell 6c using plate R3 works really well for me. Was actually considering not shaving tonight, but I have a few meetings tomorrow and want to look presentable. This shave has achieved that (I think!).

Love the Epsilon Blue scent! No irritation and feeling fresh as a daisy.

Have a good night folks! [emoji1303]

Greetings,

Another early morning shave...

Last vintage shave of the week using the Every Ready 1924 which i find the most assertive of all my Ever Ready SE vintage razors, which took a few shaves to adjust to it's assertiveness,it also holds quite a lot of water in the head when rinsing, but a quick shake removes it instantly. Just like my other vintage SE ladies provides a easy, irritation-free comfortable shave, today yet again, was no exception.

A superb 3 pass + pick ups silky smooth bbs shave with no errors to report.

Finishing to the shave off with a generous dollop of L'OREAL~ Soothing Birch Sap Post Shave Balm.

My face is feeling super smooth & smelling old school devine. ;)

Each and every shave throughout the week with these fantastic vintage razors has been a pleasurable experience, the Ever ready SE razor truely are a remarkable comfortable SE razor.Anyone who is sitting on the fence about purchasing one,'go for it'! you'll be rewarded with some sublime shaves.

Enjoy your day, ladies & gentlemen.
