Saturday 1 December

Hello Folks; hope everyone's well.

RazoRock Plissoft 24mm
Phoenix and Beau Baskerville
ER 1914
Gem SS w/rubber band shim
Thayer's Cucumber and Aloe Vera
Fine Fresh Vetiver after shave

3 day's worth of bristles jettisoned with the 1914. Whilst I can't hold it in the same esteem as my English 1912 and Streamline razors, it does the business.

Great performance as always from the P&B Baskerville and feeling very smooth. Cool, too; with the ever-dependable Fresh Vetiver.

Pre shave: Warm shower and Bulldog face wash + Noxzema shave cream
Razor: Gillette Aristocrat Adjustable 1965
Blade: Polsilver Stainless (#1)
Soap: Art of Shaving unscented soap
Brush: Rooney Silvertip
Bowl: Korium
Post shave: Alum block, cold water splash and Thayers witch hazel
AS: Chanel ÉGOÏSTE balm
EDT: Chanel ÉGOÏSTE

Superb shave, I very rarely use this razor as it is in such good condition but it seems a shame not to use it. I'm very glad I did as today has to be one of the closest and most comfortable shaves I have had.

First shave with a used English "ball end" Tech I bought for $10.00 using a new Gillette blade, my new YaQi 24mm Cashmere brush and the simply superb Ariana & Evans L'Orange Verte soap & matching AS. What a shave!! What a soap and scent!! If you like absolutely top tier soaps with strong and tastefully constructed gourmand scents then Ariana & Evans is for you. Look sharp. Feel sharp. As well, this YaQi 24mm Cashmere brush has reeled me in hook, line & sinker. Just simply perfect!! ;)

Moss Anniversary Slate scuttle
Rooney Stubby 2 Porcelain Finest (24/50)
Floris Elite shaving cream (vintage)
Weber DLC/UFO U2V1 Brass
Gillette Platinum 'Swede' (17)
Floris Elite aftershave (vintage)

Wonderful. Although a thin film of lather is perfectly adequate for its purpose, I truly enjoy the appearance and feel of really thick, rich lather, and the vintage Elite cream provides that. I don't know of anything else with a fragrance similar to that of Elite. When I first tried the modern version of Elite, I didn't like it; it seemed harsh and metallic. But the vintage formulation is much more complex, and I like it a lot.

Cold Water
KOS pre shave oil

Clubman Pinaud Synthetic Brush

Razorock Blackhawk v2
Feather Pro Guard (8)

Osma Alum Block

Ok shave but some slight irritation on neck and a few weepers. I know some people get loads of shaves out of these blades but I am thinking 7 may be the optimum for me as the same happened last time around shave 8.
