Hi Arthur,
Glad you left the Proline till last, made the V2 superior to the V1 and was the best blade of the 3 I used.

prep- facial scrub
razor - 37c Slant
blade - Shark Platinum (1 and out)
brush - Stirling two-band fan
soap - A&E - St Barts
post - witch hazel
a/s - A&E - St Barts
balm - none
scent - A&E - St Barts parfum.

What a shit show - they do say - that you should try everything once - with the exception of incest and line-dancing - I knew that Shark blades were awful - but apparently didn't learn my lesson - I'm still bleeding - on the up side - I have learned that I am not haemophiliac - dreadful shave - awful - my face - the bits that aren't bleeding - feels like a 'well skelpted arse' - good luck with that phrase - if you aren't Scottish. I'm going to take the rest of the blades into the back garden - and set fire to them - so - nobody else can make the same mistake. Each to their own - have better shaves than mine - one and all - yours - I.

Shower
Brush: Simpson Chubby 2
Soap: Faena Dorica
Razor: IBC "Cerakote" AC Shavette
Blade: Kai Captain Pink (2)
Post shave: Cold water Rinse,
Balm: Barts Balm Cinnamon & Patchouli Balm & Lotion
Aftershave: CK One

I enjoyed that, a great lather whisked up in the bowl, slick and nicely scented, then using the IBC / Kai Pink Combo i completed 1 pass WTG leaving me with a DFS result, it was so smooth, i had to check there was a blade in it, i could have stopped there, however, i completed a buffing pass using more diagonal strokes with a few ATG strokes taking off any roughness. I had no issues today going over and under the chin, no skipping or bumping. This razor is a joy to use. I wish i could get a straight shave as smooth. I know the edges i have on my str8 razors are good, but to me seem no where near as smooth as the AC bladed shavette.
I think i have been here before, although, this time i am prepared to keep running with the Str8's as i really enjoy using them and i need to up my technique.
Stay safe and enjoy the rest of this wonderfully sunny day.

Soap - Arko Puck
Brush - Yaqi Plissoft 24mm
Razor - Gillette Fat Handle Tech
Blade - SuperShave X (1)
Post - Witch Hazel
AS - Superdrug Forest Fresh

I've been using the Arko Puck for a few days now and even though the Arko stick has the reputation for being an easy soap to lather (I've not used it), I find the puck to be a little tricky in not just loading but finding the sweet spot for having a lather that is thick, slick enough without becoming too thin. I think I cracked it today and produced a really exceptional lather, great cushion/protection and very slick as well, it has the reputation for being drying, but I didn't need any balm at the end of today's shave, but maybe that's down to the muggy conditions as well.

First time using the SuperShave X which one of the great gents of this forum Paul @Blademonkey sent me and for today's shave I put the blade into my go to razor, not the most exciting razor in the world a war time Fat Handle Tech, which I've found to be near enough the perfect razor for daily shaves and for new blades I can generally gauge a blade's performance with this particular razor. I never judge a blade on it's first shave, but the SSX produced a very smooth and comfortable 2.5 pass shave, without the slightest bit of irritation and my face is still delightfully smooth a few hours after my shave.

Anyway gents, I hope you have a good day.

Us Northern Irish folk are well used to that saying as well. A classic!
