I'm really liking the scent of the new TFS Agrumella, but it just doesn't sit well on my skin. Sadly it seems the selection of soaps I am able to use isn't as wide as I'd like it to be as I seem to react badly to quite a few.

Another good shave with the Treet Platinum, I seem to like all their blades I have tried.

The soap smelled good, more rose than oud, but its lathering was just OK. I hand-stropped the new blade, but it still was surprisingly smooth for a first use.

3 days growth taken off in 3 great passes.

The Hawk head with a heavier handle is an awesome performer. Paired with the Feather Pro Blade it cuts through my stubble with ease.

A great shave finished off with some Bart's Bergamot and Vanilla. Smelling great and chin strokingly smooth!

Pre-shave: Warm shower, Kiehl's Ultra Facial Cleanser, cold water splash.
Soap: Proraso Sapone Da Barba.
Brush: Simpsons, The Duke 2 - Best Badger.
Bowl: NA.
Razors: Rex Ambassador (setting 1.5).
Blades: Gillette Silver Blue (Day 2).
Post: Cold water, Fine Snakebite Aftershave followed by Tabula Rasa Cool (Blue) Aftershave Gel.
EDT: Jo Malone Black Cedarwood & Juniper Cologne.

I have been using this shave set-up since last Sunday; it has been a while since I have used the Duke 2, Proraso (Green) soap and Tabula Rasa Cool in my rotation.

Typicially 2 passes this week with no issues, DFS + finishes, with no issues to report. Proraso, Snakebite and Tabula Rasa Cool - great cool/face frozen feeling :) .

The Jo Malone Black Cedarwood & Juniper is an experiment; I have started trying to introduce more biotanicals in my shave 'recipes'. Building on my love of the Isle of Skye Soap Co Cedarwood and Juniper shave balm, I stocked up on The Gentlemans Groom Room Essence of Scotland Mountain Yew Traditional Shaving Soap (Juniper, Cajeput, Mixed Spices, Natural Honey, Cypress and Fir); and this seemed a good scent to match.

Bliss. Perfect combination between razor and blade (naturally) and the moisturising Proraso. I like the subtle smell of the RazoRock after shave too; I've noticed that it also pairs well the Santa Maria Novella Tabacco Toscana soap.

The travelling shaver! On the road and of course that necessitates minimizing the kit but not the quality. Today's shave is a perfect example. The trusty 34G was packed up and made the journey with me and though I had quite a few days worth of growth, made quick work of the matter. I am loving the Gillette Silver Blues and they give just a bit more than the Personna Lab Blues in my opinion. This combo is pretty good indeed.

Soap of the trip is the TFS Ginestra di Taormina which I tried out a couple of weeks ago and for a business setting, this scent can't be beat. Subtle but fantastic and literally a stellar performer. The Yaqi Sagrada Familia 24mm tuxedo is a perfect travel brush and this knot and handle size is quite nice for face lathering up a storm!

A fine three pass shave and a BBS finish! Fine suit, shiny shoes...a little squirt of Stirling Executive Man EDT and the day is conquered! Yup THIS was Supermodel!

Prep: Warm shower:/ L'OREAL ~ Mountain Water Shower Gel.


Pre:

Cold wet flannel to my face.

Pears ~ Transparent Soap.

Brush: Omega S10065.

Bowl Lather.

Soap: Wilkinson Sword Shave Stick.

Blade: Wilkinson Sword Classic .(3)

Razor: Merkur 37C.

Post:

Cold Water Face Rinse./Homemade menthol crystals +Eucalyptus peppermint,+ Tea Tree Oil Witch Hazel Mixture./ Gillette ~ Blue ASL.

Nivea Men ~ Sensitive Cooling Post Shave Balm.

Another early morning shave,

Last outing of the wilkinson sword classic blade, which throughout week has performed excellently.When i first used the merkur slant i wasn't sure what to expect from it and thought it was going to be overly assertive and would take quite a few shaves to adjust to 'slant shaving angle' how wrong i was. Both the 37C & bigger sibling the 39C are both extremely smooth non-aggressive, but assertive shavers and have paired up wonderfully with every blade i've matched them up with.

A comfortable 3 pass + pick ups silky smooth shave with no errors to report.

Finishing to the shave off with a generous dollop of Nivea Men ~ Sensitive Cooling Post Shave Balm.

My face is feeling super smooth & smelling devine.
