Prep: Valobra Glycerlanolina soap, Myrsol Emulsion
Brush: Tony Forsyth P&C LE 2017 Platypus High Mountain White Badger
Soap: Wholly Kaw Fougère Bouquet
Razor:Wolfman WR1
Blade: Polsilver Super Iridium (2)
Post: Thursday Plantation Tea Tree & Witch Hazel, CRSW Alcohol-Free American Barbershop Moisturising Aftershave
Scent: Acqua Di Parma Colonia

Back from the bush shave, and what a pleasure it was! So good to be able to shave with soft water after the ultra-hard site water I have been using for the last week or so.

The Wolfman is rapidly becoming a favourite - it is both maneuverable and precise in operation, and removes stubble with absolute authority.

La Toja stick
ER 1912 ex Bathroom Set
Gem S/S [ 5 ]
La Toja A/S Lotion

Today I used my favourite British ER 1912, which was designed to take modern Gem Blades. As a result of this it not only shaves very smoothly
but is quiet too. The quality of Shave that it delivers without any problems is first first class , a nice close all round finish being the norm.

I had some bad experience with the Yaqi that made me put it away, but now i am more sure of my shaving technique, i wanted to see if the bloodbath of yesteryear would happen again. When i put the blade in place it was pretty clear what must have happened the last time, the blade has an awful lot of give either way, it can be placed frighteningly far out of place, so some tlc was needed to get it straight placed (that in itself is a big - point) hence the very nasty shaving experience the first time in use.
BBS but not comfortable, some stubble on the usual places, but not enough confidence in this Razor to go for a fourth pass of those spots.

Polsilver (1)

First sotd post in quite a while, and it was a belter.
First use of the Gamechanger and it was as smooth as reported.
My favourite razor has been my Rockwell on a 4. This is slightly more efficient, and significantly smoother. Buttery.
Finished with Witch Hazel and a sample of the S.V. Felce a/s that was included in the order by Shavelounge. Excellent.

Soap - Palmolive Stick
Brush - Omega 80265
Razor - Lord L6
Blade - Supermax Blue Diamond Platinum (1)
Post - Witch Hazel/Nivea Cooling Kick
AS - Benjamins Bay Rum Mentholated

I've been testing out blades for the Lord L6, a razor which I bought a few more of to give to two of my friends in a DE shave kit. The second blade I've been trying out is the Supermax Blue Diamond Platinum and during today's shave I was comparing it against the Treet Platinum. The SMBDP was a little sharper than the Treet Platinum but oddly enough there seemed to be a little tugging for the third pass, the shave was very good nonetheless.

First time using the Nivea Cooling Kick balm, and as it could be expected there was a slight tingle after it was applied to the face - having a look at the packaging it does contain menthol and that would explain why. It seems pretty much exactly the same as the other Nivea Cooling balm but with a bit of a menthol.

Rocnel 316 P Vitos and Bay Rum.png

Pre: Nuage Menthol Oil
Brush: Omega 63185
Soap: Vito's Super extra
Razor: Rocnel SE - P 316
Blade: 0.5 Voskhod
Post shave: Alum Block, cold water splash, homemade Witch Hazel with added oils
Balm: Floid AS balm
A/S: Homemade Bay Rum courtesy of @Electrif

After earlier joining a discussion about Rocnel blades I decided to give the "P" a run out.
Same set up as 1st time, fitted with a new Voskhod half blade.
Again a nice Lather from the Vitos Super extra and the Omega, i used the Nuage oil as after shower Pre shave prep.
The 1st pass went OK, Much pulling of my FA cup lugs to keep the blade from scratching my ear like the 1st time i used him - it worked. During the 1st pass I still seemed to think the blade was not sharp enough and I would need 3 full passes to achieve what i am used to.
Passes 2 & 3 were aided by the normal Pears soap and this seemed to help with slickness. I think the Pre shave Oil could be assisting with drag rather than glide?
Nothing from the block, and a cool water splash.
Balmed up and skin was very smooth? Electrif's Bay Rum Aftershave Splash on - No sting? i can tell you it has a lot of Real Rum in it so if there were any "burns" it should have let me know.
Result = Comfortable skinned DFS & things can only get better with more use. Next outing i will used different soap, blade and Pre prep
Have a nice Day all
