Wednesday 22nd May

Cold Water Shave
Heno de Pravia Glycerine Soap
Williams Mug Shavig Soap
Omega 20102 Boar Brush
Schick E2 (Canadian) with a 'Schick (Chinese) Blade
Witch Hazel
Palmer's for Men Moisturiser
Pinaud Lilac Vegetal

First use of an injector for a very long time and my first ever use of the Chinese made Schick Blade.. It is a pity they are so expensive to obtain in the UK.
That was an absolute 'cracker' of a shave. 3 smooth passes for a perfect finish:)

Tuesday SOTD

Zenith Synthetic
Alvarez Gomez BarberIa Cream
Timeless 0.68
Voskhod (1)
Myrsol Agua Di LImon Aftershave
Dunhill Fresh EdT

First use of the Zenith Synthetic brush - it worked a treat. Soft tips and plenty of backbone.
Alvarez Gomez BarberIa Cream with it's light citrus notes suited today's warm weather nicely.
Finished with Myrsol LImon and Dunhill Fresh EdT - fully refreshed and smooth.

Thanks for the tag Paul. I'm pleased you're liking the brush. May it give many shaves. I love the aesthetics of the handle. That's why I'm keeping my olive wood version.

A really close shave this morning. A superb lather from the MdC and Chubby preceded one close pass with the Feather AC. Then a second “touch up” pass with the Ikon OSS, removing virtually nothing, and I'm even smoother than yesterday's shave with the R41.

The Grosvenor [ 404- mixed ]
Williams Mug Soap
ER 1914
Gem S/S [ 3 ]
Williams Aqua Velva A/S Lotion

Another ER Shave today using the diminutive 1914, despite the short handle I quickly adapt to it and find it to be highly manoeuvrable. It is not as aggressive as the 1924, but it still provides one with not only a smooth Shave , but delivers a nice close all round finish too. This in many ways could be considered the next step up from a 1912.

Good job from the South Korean cartridge razor. This soap is truly fantastic as the brush and loading method prove great companions to it.

A first for the after shave, matches the soap scent pretty ok but it does contain a little bit more alcohol compared to what I would have ideally preferred. We'll have to see if I keep this as or not.

Sledge,faena,barts.jpg

Pre shave Prep: Pears Transparent Lemon flower
Brush: Vintage Butterscotch Culmak 1950
Soap: Faena "Dorica"
Blade: Kai Stainless Steel (6)
Razor: Merkur 39C slant "Sledgehammer"
Post shave: Alum Block, cold water splash, homemade Witch Hazel
Balm: Barts Lime Oil AS Balm
Aftershave: Barts Lime Oil AS

Waiting for the Sabre and it is delayed a bit, so to kill a bit time I chose the sledgehammer for its first outing.
Another heavyweight with the barberpole handle. I need better technique as it was a very close shave. Although no indication from Block a splash of S-drug aftershave to close everything up had my face singing I was glad to get the Barts Balm and Oil on.
BBS shave but technique needs to improve, i am sure it will with more use.
All 4 of the OSP Aftershaves i ordered have been delivered. Still waiting for the Sabre.
Have a nice day All
