I loaded the blade into this razor 2 years ago and have had only a handful of shaves with it as it feels strange using a twin blade in what is to me ......a single blade razor!
The 2 passes gave a really superb result. (I know it was 2 years as the first time I used it was the weekend my wife and I got engaged!)

It is actually a Georgetown Pottery scuttle. Hot water fills the scuttle, a double-walled bowl, keeping the contents of the bowl warm. Warm lather throughout the shave. The bottom of the bowl is textured to help foster a thick lather.

After two days at work and unable to get razor to face the theme for my shave this evening was 'Not staying deprived'

Yup, two days plus out at work on the river and feeling like a very hairy badger (nearly said beaver there) so this evening brought a great feeling of elation and euphoria with a damn fine shaving work out. Smoother than John Travolta and smelling finer than his underpants after the sweaty dance routines.

Saturday night fever or whatever, nothing quite gives the same effect as some Japanese techno disco thrash for me




And to all you fine folk of this fine forum may you all have fine weekends............and back to work in the morning for another three days :(
