Williams Wed 20th May

Simpson chubby 1/ Maggards 2band
Williams Mug soap
RR S/S Hawk V3-OC, HD handle
Schick Proline [ 4 ]
Williams Aqua Velva A/S Lotion

For me no Razor trial would be complete unless I tried it out with The Williams. I must be lucky as I have not a good nose for scents, and so providing it helps deliver me a good Shave thats what counts, and the Williams works well today. Todays Shave actually felt very smooth and the finish attained excellent. I have now completed 8 Shaves with this Razor, the last 4 with a Proline blade have been superbly close in all areas every time. Will round off this Trial Run by using a cream Tomorrow.

Great picture!

Spitfire is a top smelling soap. Got it for Christmas and wasn't sure what to expect but it's up there with my favourite scents.

Glad you like them Russ. Looks like the figurehead on your bowl is a good match for the soap graphic.

Blade : Gillette Platinum (2)
Shaving brush : Bevel badger

A nice comfortable shave this morning. Two and almost a full third pass. No touch-ups, could have done some, just not going for a BBS while I don't need to. Although close in some easy parts. A weeper on the bottom of my neck.

Good day to you all.

Soap Colonel Conk Amber
Brush Yaqi 26mm Moka Express
Razor Gillette New SC
Blade Euromax Super Stainless 3rd
Post & Aftershave
Ice Water
Special Thayers Lemon Mix
Hyaluronic Acid
Aqua Velva Musk
Super slick lather from this CC soap! Build it patiently with brush on the face. Really satisfying lather! Brush is terrific.
Shave with the razor paired with this blade was amazing! Super smooth and sharp without any issues. Did not feel any blade at all. 3 multiple direction pass is enough for a BBS to DFS result.
Hmmm...somehow...beats the GC.84 SB yesterday in terms of smoothness and efficiency. Now I understand better...no regrets in getting a variety of razors, blades and soaps/creams. The pleasure of getting a great shave from all things clicking together!
Ice water rinse was good, followed by refreshingly minty Thayers then topped off by Hyaluronic and AV Musk! Wow..! Great start for the day! Rating today 9.7/10

Sotd - Wednesday the 20th of May

Prep - facial scrub
razor - Gillette Slim (3)
blade - Tiger (Man-eaters of the Kumaon - 7 and out)
brush - Semogue LE 2012 - mixed badger and boar
soap - A&E - St Barts
post - witch hazel
a/s - A&E - St Barts
balm - none needed
scent - A&E - St Barts edp.

Result? Todo bueno. It is a beautiful day in Glasgow - taps aff, masks on - sunny weather calls for a sunny scented shave and St Barts fits the bill perfectly. It does leave me with a terrible craving for a pina colada or three though. First experience of using the Tiger blade was interesting - on shaves one and two it was pretty rough - I was close to tossing it but persevered - I'm glad I did - the last five have been excellent - sharp and very comfortable - I suspect that there might be life left in it - but I'm not going to prove myself wrong the hard way and will bin it. Did I read somewhere that they are supposed to replace one of the Astra blades? Not sure. The artwork on the packaging is charmingly lame - the tiger is more A.A Milne than Jim Corbett. I'll use them again for sure - thanks @Boycie83 . The Semogue mixed knot has rapidly gained a place in my top tier of brushes - a lovely blend of characteristics - and I think it has a way to go before it is broken in properly - so it is only going to get better. As I said - all good - enjoy your shaves - one and all - cheers - I.
