Wed 20th June
RazoRock Syn. 24mm
P & B Spitfire
Schick N3
Schick S/S Twin- Japan ( 2 )
Tuff Red A/S lotion

Put off the morning Shave as away from home, having decided to do it when I got home.
In order to continue my run of very good Shaves, I decided to use the elegant N3, which IMHO is one of the best modern Schicks that takes a Twin Blade. Shaved in mid afternoon which seemed strange, but still managed to get an excellent finish.

Prep: Valobra Glycerlanolina soap, Myrsol Emulsion
Brush: Paladin Lotus Select Badger
Soap: Wholly Kaw Project Leather
Razor: UFO Tornado / ATT H2
Blade: NOS Gillette Platinum Plus (1)
Post: Thayers Cucumber Witch Hazel / Myrsol Emulsion
Scent: Polo Green

With the ATT razor back in the stable, thought I'd go for a rare aggressive approach, using the H2 plate paired with the super sharp vintage Gillette Platinum Plus blade.
Whoa Boy! DFS after one pass, pretty much done after two. With so much extravagant Wholly Kaw lather, I finished with a few touch-up strokes. As per usual when I use an aggressive razor, I erred a little with pressure, but not too bad; a couple of tiny weepers, and a slightly scraped feel which vanished after a bit of a soak in the remnant lather. As close a shave as I've had this year, I'd say.:D

Evening shave....

Prep ~ Valbora Glicerlanolina soap, shower
Razor ~ Olaf Rasmussen Surgical Prep (On loan)
Blade ~ Personna 74*
Soap ~ Unknown
Brush ~ Omega 011829 Boar
Post ~ Vitos Tobacco Aftershave
Scent ~ Christian Dior - Leather Oud

With thanks to @Missoni for the kind loan of his very interesting razor, it shaves very well indeed.
I used one of my handles on the head today but I will try it with the original hex handle supplied because I love the utilitarian look of it :) P.

Greetings,

Fourth use of the Bluebird Platinum blade before it's binned The bluebird platinum blade performance throughout the week hasn't impressed me at all which is a great shame because i had high hopes for them, going on the performance of the concord platinum blade which are made in the same factory. The characteristics of these blades are just like the derby extra, which unfortunately for me are the only blade that i don't like using as i find them very unpredictable.YMMV..

My instinct feelings with the bluebird platinum blades is they are repackaged derby extra's with a different name. That said, they didn't give me any major nicks or irritation, and i can't really call them bad blades, as i've only used one out of the pack and the rest could possibly be ok, but i won't be putting them in my blade rotation in the foreseeable future because i have blades that i know will perform much better and are not unpredictable. The rest of the pack i've discarded into my used blade tin....A lesson learned experience for me.

Next week i'll be trying out a Trig (blue/white pack) Stainless Silver edge for the full week testing it's longevity & performance.

Another very hit & miss average 3 pass + pick ups shave with no errors to report.

Finishing the shave off with a generous splash of Herbs Of Bulgaria ~ Lavender A/S Lotion.

I hope you all enjoyed the summer solstice yesterday ladies & gentlemen.
