Wash with Ach Brito Glyce
Lather with LEA Shaving Stick & Yaqi Cola w/Synthetic 22mm
Shave with Yaqi Katana (on RazoRock 'Radio Knob' Handle) & Treet Platinum Single (1)
Two Pass (7 Days Growth), Hot Rinse & Cold Rinse
Brut Musk Aftershave

Gosh! I enjoyed that ...

I enjoyed that a lot! The razor is the Yaqi Katana, which is their single edge razor ... well, half DE razor, quite literally a double edge razor ground in half. But, it does indeed shave more like a single edge; like a 1912. There is quite a large blade gap which might look aggressive, but since you have following the cap the gap doesn't really matter and that gap suffices to not clog up with the seven days of growth that I shave off here.

Single pass, and I'm done! Perfectly happy, but I enjoyed it so much I did a second comfort pass just for fun.

The shave itself put me in mind of the R41. I suppose the single edge format makes for less tension in the blade (compared to a full double edge bent over the baseplate) and that translated some noise into the shave, not quite scraping toast as per the 1912 but it most definintely had a good sound. There is a lot of blade presentation and that would have worried me on a full double edge, but that blade chatter was welcome in the shave.

Reflecting this morning (Saturday), the shave was very nice indeed. Consistent regrowth coming through some 12 hours later.

This razor really suits me!

You should be a pro photographer...your pics are always great!;)(y)

Thank you for saying so - I have been a professional snapper for the last 31 years - generally speaking - it was a whole lot of fun - that time - now - I think has come to an end. :)

collectively - thank you. I.

I'm a pro photographer (not that my pictures here would suggest such) COVID19 has killed what I usually photograph. In addition, I'm a musician working in theatres, so both ways, I'm stuffed. Due to surgery in January, I last worked 12 Jan 2020. It's fun being self employed.

Fucked two ways mate - that is not good - I wish you well - cheers - I.

Off topic but this covid shite has taught us what is important in life, and it is not massive companies making billions and offshoring the profits. Its the working man or woman on the front line making minimum wage and struggling through life. Pay people a decent wage and the economy will never tank. People will spend money, companies hoard wealth.
Ps this is not political it's just a rant.
