Shaving recipe for today.

Prep: Warm shower:/ L'OREAL ~ Birch Sap Shower Gel.

Pre:

warm wet flannel to my face.

Pears ~ Lemon Flower Extracts Transparent Soap.

Brush: Fine ~ 24mm Synthetic.

Face Lather.

Soap: La toja Shave Stick.

Blade: Derby Premium.(4)

Razor: Edwin Jagger ~DE 89 (Kelvin).

Post:

Cold Water Face Rinse./Homemade menthol crystals +Eucalyptus peppermint,+ Tea Tree Oil Witch Hazel Mixture./ La toja ASL.

Cien ~ Aloe Vera Body Lotion.

Greetings,

Another early morning shave.

Last use of the derby premium blade, which has convinced and restored my faith slightly more in Derby blades with each of my shaves this week. I'm still slightly reluctant to add a derby extra to my blade rotation however, i do have a pack left in my shaving den so i will give them another try in future shaves to see if it was my lack of technique & shaving confidence that caused my horrible experience with them in my early days of traditional wet shaving.

As for the derby premium i will use again with no hesitation in my future SOTD set ups. A smooth sharp forgiving impressive blade.

A very comfortable 3 pass + pick ups smooth DFS shave with no errors to report.

Finishing to the shave off with a generous dollop of Cien ~ Aloe Vera Body Lotion.

My face is feeling super smooth & smelling devine.;)
;)

Enjoy your day, ladies & gentlemen.

Occams V2- no2 plate
Feather Pro [ 2 ]
P & B Spitfire A/S Splash

My second use of this Razor. As I have used all kinds of Razors use of the rather Skeletal handle does not pose any problems and it is not inclinedto slip. The Razor when used flat to the face like an Injector , shaves very smoothly and the finish which was attained without problems was again Top Notch. I was somewhat sceptical about the performance of this Razor, but if I continue to have Shaves of this quality I will be well pleased.

I have at some time to try it with the No3 Aggressive plate, but so far I find that Razor with a medium plate to be more aggressive than most of my AC/SEs and to date shaves better than some.

Brush - Zenith Euro X
Soap - Vitos Red Coco
Razor - Lord L6
Blade - Astra SP (1)
Post - Witch Hazel
AS - Akcay Tobacco

I'd not used an Astra SP for a while, and I've forgotten how superb a blade it is, paired incredibly well with the Lord L6; might be the best blade I've used with the razor. I say that but I've used so many different blades, it's difficult to keep track of what works and what doesn't! A really great shave all in all aside from seeming to result of some kind of undetermined bump on a cheek, which doesn't seem like an in grown but I'm sure I will find out later on!

Hadn't shaved since Saturday in the hospital which was a lovely shave in itself and I was wary of of using my 3one6 giving some reports of aggressiveness but wow, it was simply wonderful. I can only liken it to a more efficient Merkur 34c. Time will tell just how good it will be as my regular razor but seldom do I get such great results on my first whip round with a new beastie. Yes the handle is thin but I didn't notice this in the hand and the knurling is beautiful. I must commend the Vitos soap as it's truly excellent and the softness of the best badger in this older 'Made in England' branded Berkeley was akin to silvertip and very dense with perfect flow-through, best wee brush I've ever used bar none. The moisturiser wasn't at all necessary but I've got myself a 32 year old girlfriend so gotta keep my youthful, boyish looks, haha! Like I ever had such a thing in the first place! In short, a damn fine shave to say the least.
