Soap - Barbon Cream
Brush - Yaqi Fan Tuxedo
Razor - Yingjili Tech/Maggards Handle
Blade - Lord Platinum (1)
Post - Witch Hazel
Balm - Nivea Cooling Kick
AS - Benjamins Bay Rum Mentholated

I'd be intrigued by Barbon Shaving cream by for a while and the great gent @SeanC very kindly sent me a sample of it and for today's shave I used it with a fair amount of excitement.
As with any new soap or cream I think it takes a few times to fully be able to appreciate it, to get the soap/water ratio right but for the first time I liked it a lot, even if I probably over hydrated the lather a little bit. Barbon seems to produce a very good lather, fairly slick with good cushion (something I will assess with more usage as today's lather was a little overhydrated) but what seems to distinguish it from other creams/soaps is how the lather feels on the face during the shave, it felt a little different - difficult to articulate how so but I know that alcohol is one of the ingredients. No irritation though, which considering my record with soaps/creams that make my face burn I was very pleased to find another cream that I can actually use. Difficult to describe the scent as well, it's very mild in scent I'd say off the top of my head it was a mild antiseptic kind of scent, a pleasant one though.
The shave itself wasn't the closest, I think the razor head was too mild for the Lord Platinum but a very comfortable one nonetheless. It'd been a while since I last used a Lord Platinum and it's one of Lord's better blades but not as sharp as the Shark Chrome which I used recently, but much smoother.
Today's shave really shone for the post shave, my face felt very smooth and I seemed to have the least post shave burn with the splash I can remember.

Anyway chaps, I hope you have a good day.

So after yesterday super close shave i needed to change my plans today, the GC-OC was replaced with the AS-D2, i also took the opportunity to give the New Alpha Titanium G4 Synth its first run out, a very nice looking brush.

After showering I used the Proraso Green as a pre shave for the first time, massaging it in and leaving it to be adsorbed into the skin and stubble while i set about preparing the rest of the shave, The OSP had been blooming while in the shower, the new brush is a soap hoover, lots of backbone picking up copious amounts in no time, i set about face lathering and had to give the brush a dip on the first application as the soap needed it, the brush is really nice on the face and gave me a really good covering and easily holding enough for 3 passes.
The AS-D2 just works for me, oh so very comfortable and efficient, i only need 2 passes WTG and a mixed 2nd pass leaving me BBS and super comfortable. I will try some "sharper" blades in as the months go by, although the 7OC Yellow is working well.
Post shave started with the cold water splash face freeze, more Proraso Green and a splash of OSP.
That was a really nice shave.
Have a great day All

Another nice easy shave with the Pal.

I bought the Pal Injecto-matic on the BST from Sean (@SeanC ) who also kindly included a soap sample along with the razor.
Thanks again Sean, I'm glad I now have a pal'.
P - that's a quality picture. Cheers - I.
