SOTD 18 July 2018.

Pre-shave: Warm shower, face wash organic cold pressed nettle soap.
Cream: Kiehl's Lite Flite Shave Cream.
Brush: Muhle Silvertip Fibre.
Bowl: Aesop.
Razor: Rocnel SE-G.
Blade: GEM PTFE (Day 4).
Post: Cold water splash, followed by Body Shop aloe Vera, finished off with a healthy splash of Floid Vigoroso.

Another stunning shave from the Rocnel SE-G, it felt very simple and efficient. I enjoyed shaving with the Kiehl's Lite Flite, it felt very protective with good glide. It been a while since I have finished with Floid Vigoroso, I love the menthol kick.

My skin feels great; not quite a BBS all over shave today (after 2 passes), but close and comfortable enough.

All the best,

Chris

Marco, how do you find the Karve, if you don't mind me asking? Thanks, Chris
I got the Karve razor through the BST here, thanks again @Imunro69
In my opinion it is a great preformer and a very good looking brass razor with its significant head design and the classy, straight designed handle. In addition to aesthetics, it comes with a very attractive price tag with its craftsmanship in mind, downside is import fees as it comes from overseas. I get good results with my regular three pass routine each time I grab this razor. I got the 3,5” handle with a C plate. For me this is the perfect handle lenght. The C plate is efficient and relative mild with most blades I have in rotation. Anyway, I keep me eyes open to add a more aggressive baseplate to the arsenal. Perhaps a D or E. Lately Karve introduced E and F plates witch receive a lot of positive response in other forums.
Kind Regards
Marco

A very nice midweek shave indeed, I find the L2 plate of the Sabre very efficient and very smooth.
Happy Shaving one and all.

Rockwell 6C
Rapira Swedish Supersteel
Maseto Shaving 2band Finest Badger 30mm
Soapy Science Doc's Special Blend
Reuzel aftershave

After a few shaves with Soapy Science I can say I am satisfied with the buy.
I like the scent, even though it's not for everyone. It smells like some sort of medicinal cream. I think.
It's fairly easy to lather, it provides excellent slickness and protection. A bit lacking on the post shave, not good as some (e.g. Barrister) but far from bad. Nothing a bit of Reuzel aftershave won't fix.
All in all, I wish this soap could be bought at Maggards 'cause regular postage from the artisan raises the price quite a bit to us EU shavers, and makes it expensive compared to some other brilliant soaps.

Third shave with a Rapira blade. Definitely not the my sharpest or most efficient blade but is one of the smoothest.
