The picture has nothing to do with my shave today - it was unused previously - and it is currently pitch dark - so that will have to do.

Tepid shower - double zero clippers on head - cold water shave

prep - facial scrub
razor - Gillette Slim (4)
blade - Lodz Polsilver (polenta - 6)
soap - MT - Mint Ice Menthol paste - vegan
brush - Simpsons P8 Phyl best
post - cold water - still - nante witch hazel
a/s - Mentally Glacial mix - if you are not familiar - that is half and half Floid Mentally Vigorous and Alcolada Glacial - named by @Paul L
balm - Vifrex gel.

A lovely restorative shave - ordinarily I wouldn't set about cleaning myself up at one in the morning - but a combination of insomnia and horrible humidity in Glasgow tonight - led me to all things menthol - if there is any chance I will sleep tonight - we aren't talking Equatorial rain forest humid - but by local standards it is too warm and sticky - every window in the flat is wide open - although I do swear that I can hear unspeakable things being done to monkeys - civets - even? - a jaguar on the prowl - in the quiet of the Govanhill night. Might just be the locals - probably. It's a goddam jungle out there. Sorry - shaving - back in the room - the blade is just getting into its stride - good for another four or five uses before you become concerned about them - turning the Slim up to four - is perfect - a wee bit more assertive - as I am currently only shaving every three to four days. A classic razor for a reason. You don't see the Vifrex balm mentioned much - but check it out menthol troops. My face! - my face! I can't feel my face! Stay safe - one and all - this - probably - is the most dangerous time - especially - given the jaguar on Dixon Avenue. I.
Good to see you in ripping form, Iain! Metally Glacial sounds like fun - I cannot get Alcolada Glacial here in Oz, but I do have some menthol crystals, so I'll give it a go.

Nanny's Silly Soap - Original (Moroccan Sands)
Tuff No.2 Herb Aftershave

I managed to re-purchase more of Nanny's Silly Soap - Moroccan Sands, before it quickly sold-out again; great performance and wonderful scent. The Tuff No.2 aftershave leaves my skin feeling great, scent is good but short-lived - a real steal at only a few Euro's and one of my best aftershave purchases this year.

A wonderfully smooth shave today, and the realisation of how i nicked my septum the other day, there are no blade stops on the razor head as they are not needed, however, this leaves the corner of the blade exposed, which would not normally be an issue unless you are going XTG under your septum - Noted and adhered to.
I like the routine of cold water shave then shower, its really seems to help. Anyway, i like it.

Round 2 and final round of B2 cleaning.
Today i used the help of a cotton bud, a tiny bit of Autosol and a cocktail stick.
a light rub of polish then each grove of the handle rubbed with the stick to remove the staining.
A final polish of the case and razor buffed - - -
Presto!

New Soap Cella 1st Use
Bowl Red Nubs
Brush Yaqi 26mm Rainbow
Razor Fatip Grande OC
Blade Polsilver Super Iridium 2nd
Post & Aftershave
Ice Water + Special Thayers Mix
Hyaluronic Acid + Polo EDT + Cella Balm
New Cella Soap very mild scent...hardly can smell it but the lather quality... Wow!
Amazingly thick, creamy and slick. Easily whipped up with the excellent Rainbow.
Shave with razor paired with blade was excellent! Very smooth, sharpish and felt really comfortable. 3+1 multiple passes with no weepers nor irritation. Between BBS to DFS result. Icy water rinse (better than alum) followed by Thayers and Hyaluronic. Further soothed by the balm and nice fragrance from the EDT. Rating 9.7/10
