Disappointing shave this morning, but, a great overall result. The lather from the TFS shaving soap was as usual excellent, but as soon as I took razor to face the shave was even more uncomfortable and catchy than usual. I managed to open the same area of skin on the top lip as on previous outings, but this time it was worse. I decided to put the Feather to one side and used my MÜHLE 101 with a Feather blade to do the second pass and finished up with a smooth shave and an excellent result. This was the sixth Shave with the Feather Proguard, perhaps it was one shave too many, or perhaps it is my undoubted lack of ability.
I only tried the Proguards once; and had similar results. Going on to the Feather Professionals helped. Very sharp and less drag.

PreShave: Warm water, from the tap
Cream: OSP Vintage
Brush: Kent BK8
Bowl: My recycled cream bowl
Razor: The Sledgehammer (Merkur 39C)
Blade Polsilver SI (2)
Post Shave: Alum

Fragrance: Floris Jermyn Street

Found an excuse to crack open a tub of OSP Vintage—the first time I've used OSP products. I'd ordered some before James' sabbatical, and ordered more after his announcement; but didn't have a chance or excuse to open up a tub until this morning. Although in my excitement, I may have used too much water, it provided great lubrication for a shave. The scent was a bit muted (as others have noted, see TomG's remark above), but pleasing nonetheless. I like this cream. And, with day two of the Polsilver, a very nice BBS shave was had.

Enjoy the evening, folks.

MWF
King Cobra / Kalyon Handle
Schick Proline [ 1 ]
Puig Quorum A/S Lotion.

Still on a learning curve with the King Cobra. Today fitted a different handle and a fresh blade, it really worked well for me. A good lather from the MWF, allowed the Razor to shave smoothly and efficiently - the cheeks were done in a trice and I seemed to get the angles around the neck much better, so the overall finish quality was very good. After todays Shave I am much happier with this Razor ,as I had some doubts as to whether or not it suited me. Now Shaves well- looks good :).
