Murphy & McNeil Triskele
Plisson Synthétique
George Ibberson Old Type Clone
Feather Hi-Stainless (third and final shave)
Alum
L'Oreal Mountain Water AS

Mr Bunny very kindly offered me some M&M soap samples with a recent purchase, I've been interested in this brand since I first saw it's cool artwork (yeah I'm a tart) well 3 samples arrived today...Trinity, Triskele & Naid.

I'll briefly give my opinions on the scents:

Trinity is the obligatory Aventus clone and it's a decent one as far as they go, identical to Fine's interpretation to my nose but that's going from memory.
Triskele is apparently their take on a "barbershop scent" - It smells identical to B&M Classic Reserve.
Naid is freesia and apricot, all I get is a sweet artificial fruity scent, reminds me of Hubba Bubba gum.

All of the scents are very sickly sweet to my nose and register around 5/10 on the strength scale.

The products consistency is that of a dense cream, I think calling it a soap is very misleading, it's much softer than equivalent B&M or NO which are more like putty in comparison, as such loading was very easy... In fact I imagine overloading could be a potential issue. A rich, dense, shiny lather was built in no time, the shave went without incident though I did notice a lack of both slickness and residual slickness compared to the Extro I've been using. Post shave my face is dry and tight, something all these US artisan soaps do to me so not surprised but there we are...

Massive thanks to Paul for giving me the opportunity to try these, much appreciated though I will not be pursuing this brand any further.

Happy birthday Pat

Thursday evening

P&B Spitfire
RazoRock Disrupter 22mm
Face lather
Muhle R41 head on iKon OSS handle
Feather Hi-Stainless
Alum
Thayer's Rose Petal and Aloe Vera
Fine Snake Bite
Floris Elite EdT

Not sure about a Feather in an R41. Close, but not necessarily smooth. Still, did the business though; and no complaints from the alum. My hands are still tingling from the Bite.

Hope all goes/went well Paul

Thank you Chris

Paul,if your procedure is the gastroscopy (endoscopy),there's nothing to it mate . I've had the procedure twice and without the local anaesthetic.

Exactly that Pat

Unfortunately, because my blood pressure and heart rate are so low I could not be given the sedative, only the throat spray (that only numbed my tongue and not my throat)
I felt like I was being choked during the entire procedure.

The verdict is . . .hiatus hernia, gastritis and duodentIs.
Being referred back to the consultant and GP

2 days growth disappeared with ease this evening.

3 incident free passes resulting in a BBS finish.

The Alvarez Gomez cream is a joy to use with that great citrusy lemon scent. You could almost be standing on a beach staring out over the Mediterranean.

Finishing off with the EdP just adds to the experience.

My skin is softer than a soft thing. Great shave.

Have a great evening folks! [emoji1303]

My total empathy. When I had horrendous heartburn, was given an endoscopy, and stupidly chose not to have a sedative (btw, wish I had). Mine was also a hiatus hernia resulting in prescribed acid reducing meds.
Certainly wish you well.

+1. My exact same experience. I now take my magic bullet every morning.
