I have a few vintage SE razors now and I am really enjoying the experience of them. I will need to reign in my RAD and get a pot saved up. In the mean time I have enough razors to keep me going. (I hope). If any of those you mentioned come onto BST then the trigger will be pulled ie. Claymore, Cobra or Blackland.

I don't have a Vector....but I do have a Cobra Classic, ClaymoreV2 and a Hawk and for the foreseeable future those will do me as far as the AC Type Razors are concerned. I have the Sabre L1 which is a lovely shaver......but for the cost....I could have bought approx 10 Vintage razors which can shave as well (for me) if not better. As always its only my personal opinion....having had the bug myself. I just seem to have gone off the boil a bit!
How would you compare the L1 plate Sabre to the Hawk in terms of efficiency?

The Hawk as supplied is quite a mild razor. I usually have to use Feathers as opposed to Prolines or of course use a heavier handle. The Saber L1 is a razor where you just can't go wrong. Very smooth and very efficient. You can't do much to change things....it just works. If you want to up the ante.....then you need the L2 plate. I have never tried it as that would probably trigger another purchase!. I believe there is more blade feel.

Thursday 18th April SOTD

YaqI 24mm Tuxedo
OSP Barbershop
Timeless 0.68 Scalloped
Voskhod (1)
Floid Mentolado Vigoroso AS

Morning shave today as I have a procedure at the hospital this afternoon.

I'm enjoying using the Timeless with Voskhod blades. I tried an Astra SP recently and it didn't feel as smooth or cut as close as the Voskhod.
OSP Barbershop, as always, performed faultlessly and provided slickness and protection throughout.
Finished with a generous splash of Mentally Vigorous Aftershave.

For those who are working today, I hope home time comes around quickly for you.

Easter starts here !

Hope all goes/went well Paul
