An excellent rose shave on a dark, smoky morning. But I shouldn't complain, I know some of you have worse air - or even fires nearby.

I start this week of SOTD's with the theme 'Bloody builders and gardens'

IMG_20200911_131440.jpg

Back at work at this moment and left the builders to just get on with things while I am away.

'Mrs Satanfriendly is Chris around?'
'Yes he is'
'Can I see him please'
'Yes you can. He is hanging on the back of the container boat out in the river. The door is fine in that position'

I did tell them my missus knows the score and she can lay bricks (which is more than I get) so she knows her stuff.

Any chance of a cuppa? - Ever Ready 1912
More bricks you knob - Personna Gem
Did you see the size of those? - The Gentleman's Groom Room whiskey barrel
You call that mortar? - Signature Soaps Londinium

A return to 1912 (back to the future IV) and very appropriate to this day's theme, it has a very utilitarian feel and look about it and to this sense rather reminds of some kind of a gardening tool. I am quite sure the builders would be very grateful for its earth flattening properties and its ability to cut the paving stones. Other than that it just happens to be one damn fine razor pushing towards the best part of 90 years old and very capable of delivering superb shaves as I am finding out. A kind of 'Swiss knife' of the shaving world. Any other possible functions folk could dream up would be very gratefully received.

It is exceptionally lightweight compared to my usual choice of razors and rather feels like it is made from tin foil, which of course it isn't. I always find it a little daunting with the first strokes while I adjust to the fact that this thing bloody well works. Not only does it 'bloody well work' it turns in an exceptional bloody performance. Not in the literal sense though as I would find it quite difficult to draw blood with the 1912 being so easy to use. The Gems are what they are and as far as I am aware there isn't anything else so just get on with it. I also happen to have a lifetimes supply as I understand they just go on and on. A bit like me.
So a wonderful wonderful shave and nothing is a great act without some kind of support. To this extent the Groom Room brush and startlingly super Signature Londoninium did their brilliant best.

Thank you, thank you all you super shaving accoutrements for helping me to one exceptionally smooth and bottom wiggling shave.

No quite girly this time around, but someone I haven't used for some time and a band with one superb and very pretty trans gender guitarist, the superb 'Blood Stain Child'

Shaving recipe for today.

Prep: Warm shower / Nivea Men ~ DEEP CLEAN Shower Gel.

Pre:

Cold wet flannel to my face.

Pears ~ Transparent Bar Soap + Wilko Men's shave Oil.

Brush: Semogue 1438.

Bowl Lather.

Tesco's Ceramic 'Cosmo' Side Bowl.

Lather : Nivea Men Originals Shave Cream.

Blade: Centwin ~ SP. (2)

Razor: Wilkinson Sword Classic.

Post:

Cold Water Face Rinse./Homemade Lavender + Tea Tree Oil Witch Hazel Mixture./ Nivea Men ~ 2 phase ASL + Body Shaving Anti Irritation ASL.

A relaxing Sunday morning shave.

A near 'Nivea Men' shave. The 'Originals' cream is superb, only a small almond size amount was needed to create a wonderful slick lather, which was more than enough for my shave.

The humble in-expensive WS Classic razor is such smooth comfortable shaver pairing together wonderfully with the efficient Centwin sp blade on it's second outing, making a superb razor & blade combo.

Another very comfortable 3 pass + pick ups near BBS shave with no errors to report.

Finishing the shave off with a generous dollop of Nivea Men ~ Body Shaving Anti Irritation ASL.

My face is feeling silky smooth & smelling divine.;)

Stay safe, and enjoy you Sunday ladies & gentlemen.

Excellent lather from the evergreen soap. Thick creamy with nice scent and cooling sensation. Slickness was ok.
Shave with razor paired with blade was ooohhhh so smooth. Sharply efficient but very comfortable ...never so before.
Possibly due to taking the time to aligning the blade correctly. Wonderful 3+1 passes with BBS results! No weepers. Cooling postshave followed by soothing aftershave. Rating 9.8/10!

Its been a while since i used the Model T as the Rex took over the Adjustable Crown as soon as i got it.
Now then, the Model T is no Rex although it does have its own positives. Like the Rex it is infinitely adjustable between 0 and 6 as it does not "click" onto each setting, this allows you to dial in any blade and tweak to your preferred feel. It feels really nice in the hand and has a more traditional length handle. It shaves beautifully.
The Soap and brush whipped up a wonderful lather straight on the chin, a lovely face lather with the menthol hit being just right.
I completed 3 passes resulting in an easy BBS finish. 1st time use of the Treet blade and it seems to works really well, sharp and smooth.
The Proraso balm just works and feels nice on the skin once massaged in, the OSP splash finishing everything off. Sitting here in a nice menthol glow.
A busy day ahead as Mrs TC is still struggling with her broken Ankle, although she is getting around a bit more now.
Stay safe and enjoy your day All
