Post:

Aloe Vera Gel.

Greetings,

A new shave set up to start the weekend...I've continued using blades, that i've infrequently used in my shaving den.The Silver Star blade are made in Egypt by the Lord company, another blade that i've only use a few times, and find them smooth & sharp. I'm pleasantly surprised how much the silver star blade paired up with the ball end tech. A excellent combo, very smooth and efficient.

It's been ages since i last added the the bath House spanish fig & nutmeg soap to my shaving soap rotation after a 5 minute bloom in warm tap water then loaded up with my damp horsehair, then face lathering i rewarded with a excellent lather in no time, adding a good amount of water to the tips of the brush in between each pass, leaving a superb post shave feeling to my face...A very good shaving soap, with a very pleasant and fresh spicy fragrance ideal for the autumn & winter months.

A enjoyable 3 pass + pick ups silky smooth shave with no errors to report.

Finishing to the shave off with a generous dollop of Aloe Vera Gel.

My face is feeling super smooth and smelling devine. ;)

Enjoy the start of the weekend, ladies & gentlemen.

Saturday SOTD

Soap ~ Noble Otter Monarch
Brush ~ YaqI 24mm Tuxedo Marble Handle
Razor ~ RazoRock Game Changer 0.84-P
Blade ~ Gillette Nacet (2)
Post ~ Pre De Provence No63 Balm
Scent ~ Fan Di Fendi Assoluto EdT

With the Mrs on an early shift I've got the house to myself and decided to have a morning shave for a change.

Monarch soap has such a nice scent that I went for 3 passes instead of my usual 2.

I'm still not getting the best form the Game Changer, with patches that need buffing/touching up, but I like using it all the same.

Finished with No63 balm and Fendi Assoluto
Not a bad way to start a Saturday

Enjoy your weekend all

Pre-shave:- None

Bowl/Scuttle:- None
Brush:- None
Soap/Cream:- Bulldog gel and aerosol Gel mix
Razor/Blade:- Wilkinson classic and Topaz (4)
Post/After-shave: Cocoa Butter
Fragrance:- None

Day 4 of the Topaz blade, still giving good trouble free results with the very mild Wilkinson Classic razor. I started off on this DE shaving journey thinking that I was going to be cut to ribbons in the process, as I was 30 years ago. It shows that using good products and learning from others on how to do things properly pays good rewards.

I had some time this morning, and, as the lather from the Pannacrema was so fabulous, I took out the Feather Artist Club for a spin. Two passes no cuts and a finish ranging from excellent on the cheeks to good on the neck. A fine start to the weekend.

Saturday 12th October

Pears Glycerine Soap
Stirling Black Cherry Shaving Soap
Vulfix 'The Mayfair'' Badger Brush
Vintage Souplex with a Gillette/Wilkinson Blade
Witch Hazel
Creightons Coconut/Rose Moisturiser
Massimo Tutti AS

The Bakelite Souplex is a recent acquisition and from descriptions seen elsewhere I was expecting the razor to be a 'bit of a beast'. Perhaps it was the blade selection, but I found it to be a little tame and it took a little work to get a DFS+ with 3 passes. I shall use something a little sharper next time!. A good shave but not quite up to my usual expectations.
